Cgagnon- The same thing happened to me, as well, maybe two weeks ago. My US address showed up on my page (I'm applicant) for the first time since I was able to use ecas back in December! I was excited, as well, at the thought that atleast SOMETHING happened to our file Here's hoping this is all over for all of us soon

I applied last november and I'm still waiting for any movement on my file. The MP checked on my file a few days ago and told us that seattle vo are getting police checks which is taking time. How often should i ask our MP to check on our file. I don't want to disturb the vo too much but i don't understand y its taking this much time.

Also we recently had a baby and got the birth certificate today. Do u know when we would get the SIN and citizenship card for the baby?

Hi all!

Just wanted to share the great news: Got PPR today!! It couldn't be better timing as we are driving down to Los Angeles next week (for our anniversary party!) so we can take the passports to the LA office and pick them up the same day! We are very excited!! As my E-Cas still shows "in process" let's just all remember that in time things will happen..and even though we are kept in the dark, know that they are moving along! We definitely had our share of confusion and stress, given that until PPR today, we have never received anything in the mail from CIC or VO. Best of luck everyone....we'll check in again soon!

Finally got my COPR in the mail yesterday! ;D

Took two weeks to get here in (Vancouver) in the mail from Seattle....oy! Time to get my B4/B4A paperwork going, gotta land by Jul 19.

For SIN application, you can simply go to a Service Canada office and it takes about 20 mins or so to process. They will give you a piece of paper with your SIN on it. You can start working right away. You don't need to wait for the plastic card which will be mailed to you in about 2 weeks.

Did you get your SIN card yet? I'm hoping this process doesn't take long after landing as I'd like to start working once I do!

First time posting on this board, but I used it quite a bit when we were filling out our paperwork. Rec'd in Mississauga on Monday, the 25th. Now the wait begins, as if waiting for the last 9 months wasn't enough. Took a whole lot of time to get the police certs and everything. This just can't be over soon enough. My daughter keeps asking when I'm coming home. I hate this.
