They did the samething to me so I contacted the doctor that did the medicals and they resent it for me.But if your MP is sending it you will probably be better off because they will most likely fax it directly to who needs it.But doesnt hurt to contact the doctor to send it also to be safe.

Good morning everyone.

I do some immediate help. We are coming on to one year since my wife's application was file and sent to Buffalo.
Now apparently Buffalo can't find her medical records (we sent them in with her application) what is the best and fastest way to send them? I sent one to my MP this morning has he is one that confirmed they can't find her records.

My question is how can they NOT find her records? I looked at the form, there is a barcode with numbers. Plus, her medical records have expired (March 21, 2011 when she did them).

Can they overlook this since this is an obvious error on their end, when we sent them in with the application?

Just frustrating. Any and all help is possible. Freaking out here.

Agree, and double check with the name on the DMP's record and make sure it matches your wife's passport. I don't know if this matters as the IMM1017 form has a barcode, but I remember seeing a past post saying the DMP messed up the name that might have caused the trouble.

If it's CIC who lost your medical receipt IMM1017 form, then resend the form to VO if you still have a photocopy of it. You can send via Case Specific Enquiry, email, fax, and snail mail (would suggest to try multiple ways).

Good luck!

Hey GoGoGO,

Thanks for the info. Everything matches we were cautious on that end.

I resent the photocopy to my MP via email, Case Specific Enquiry via email, also faxed it in to Buffalo, and to the CIC-Mississauga office as well all this morning.

I hoping this does it.

It's worth double checking with Buffalo before you head down there. Come back and share please.

And CONGRATULATIONS bbiery!!! :p

Bbiery-

I copy & pasted the link and info GOGOGO was able to give me when I had the same question re: taking ppr in person to Buffalo. Hope this helps!

From GOGOGO-
It varies from VO to VO. Specifically for Buffalo VO, Ichiro's partner did submit passport in person, and land on the same day. Here's the post.

Yay another one - congrats Bbiery :)

I have some news that whilst not helping my case has really lightened the load today

I have a friend who is an immgration consultant, and she gave me a couple of emial addresses to send enquiries to.

So I fired one off yesterday and outlined the circumstances, although at the end (and anyone who knows me knows this is totally me!) added some humour (i'll cut and paste)

"................ (the dots are for the case datils and timelines)
Please don't get me wrong and I hope I'm not coming across as a whiney person, and I am totally grateful that I'm at least with my hubby while a lot of people are seperated from theirs, I am just a little stressed right now.

Thanks in advance for anything you can do, my husband would thank you too because I'm getting soooo bored not being able to work that i've taken to thinking about clearing some of the dead trees in the yard. This involves a chainsaw and my husband is scared lol.

Many thanks
XXXXXXX"
I showed a couple of friends the email and they commented that they hope CIC have a sense of humour and don't take it as a thinly veiled threat of me coming after them with a chainsaw (which I was a bbit scared about actually after they'd said it lol)

Then this morning I get this reply back

Hi XXXXX- I have traded in my Buffalo wings for Turkey legs, being now posted in Ankara - however, I have forwarded your message to my colleagues in Buffalo... I'm sure they will take care of things - and hopefully you won't have to fire up that chainsaw... (then he posts his details etc)

So whilst it doesn't shed any light, it does show that at least one person (in quite a high up position given his title lol) has a great sense of humour, and that really made me smile today.

So thank you Mr X - you made my day :)

No problem. And you checked with DMP as Calgary-Bound suggested, and the DMP confirmed that they sent/re-sent the medical? I remember a post saying the DMP forgot to send medical result to Regional Medical Office! ::)

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice, my boyfriend is sponsoring me to come to Canada under common-law and our time line is the following:

First sent our application to canada on December 31, 2010.

Decision on our application was made on January 26, 2011.

Sent to Buffulo and we have recieved confirmation on February 2, 2011.

Our medical results have been recieved.

They have started processing our application on February 2, 2012.

To this date we have not herd anything from Buffalo, it has now been more than 11 months for the processing times stated on their websites. I have wrote them and all they say is "it is in process" I was wondering if anyone is facing the same situation or have any suggestions on what I can do or why this is taking so long.

Thanks

Hi jaimie11, sorry to hear that your case is taking so long.

There are many possibilities that a case is taking a long time:
1) Background check;
2) Case being put on the 'interview-to-be-scheduled' queue;
3) Additional document is required and the representative forgot to send documents;
4) ...

Have you ordered your GCMS? You may find some hints from the notes.
You can also contact your MP for help.

I have my wife/the applicant checking with the DMP, but in the meantime I forwarded all the copies to the the respective offices via fax and email. Do you think that suffices (the method of delivery of these copies)?

And you mentioned Case Specific Enquiry too in your previous post, so I think you covered most of the channels! :)
If you have a dollar or so to spare, then may be just regular mail one copy to VO, in case they wnat a physical document.
You can give your MP a copy as well.
I can't think of any other mean than knocking on their door. ;D
Hope your application will be finalised soon!
