Congratulations diadema, and you saved a few bucks from not ordering your GCMS! :D

No kidding! And here I was beginning to think disparaging thoughts about the LA office...

For folks' reference, I sent the LA consulate an email on April 5 casually inquiring about the status of my app, noting that my meds are up in June and it had been 90 days since the app was transferred to LA (which was a bit of a lie - it would be 90 days tomorrow). So that's 12 days from pestering email to PPR, not that I necessarily advocate a flood of inquiries. I was just tired of being the straggler on the satellite office tracking sheet!

Also, my ecas is unchanged. It still says "In Process," with the usual app received, meds received, and processing app notes.

About 6 months after landing as a PR my e-cas status using my wife's ref # never deviated from In Process.

tl;dr --> e-cas is unreliable.

My FBI timeline (8 weeks in total):
Jan17 - Fingerprint delivered at FBI by USPS
Feb17 - FBI fee posted to credit card
Mar13 - Received FBI results (address in Canada)

We applied mid december ( around 18th or so) and received our FBI results february 10th so yes about 8 weeks

Hi Jenny parsely, as you are NOT visa exempted, you would need to mail your passport (& other docs as requested) to the visa office. You can do Canada Post, Fedex, UPS, etc. Visa office will then mail the passport/COPR back to your Canadian address if you specify that.

And check this out for landing in Canada without exiting/re-entering:

Hi all,

My husband has applied for my PR file under family class. I am Indian citizen residing in USA. I will be going to canada on visitor visa while my file is still in process.

Can any one tell me how to send Passport from canada to Buffalo office when the PPR arrives? And how to complete landing procedure while living in canada?

Do I need to get any appointment at visa office in toronto for completing my landing procedure? How much time it takes to get the appointment?

Please advise

hi guys havent been to here for a while!
I e-mailed to Detroit on Monday asking about my application process and I have received their e-mail reply today morning
saying that

"Your application is ready for finalization. Instructions will be sent shortly by email."

So anyone has any idea that how long will it take to get ppr???

So I was literally minutes away from ordering my GCMS notes, impatient person that I am, when my email inbox chimed with a new message.... PPR!!!!! ;D

I don't know what took them so flippin' long, but I'm glad to see you got it finally!

You should at least celebrate about that fact that they did reply to your email! ;)

Ecas changed to decision made. Still no fed ex tracking number:( but happy something changed on ecas! FYI ecas is updated when they feel like it lol don't bother checking they always correspond via email anyway .... Just my opinion though:) come on Seattle !!! I'm tired of workin two jobs with no days off!! Hubby's sin application already filled out just need the card now any time any time !!

Congrats to awor, and also diadema!

Thank you :)

UPS tracking updated. It's in Calgary - 7 hours away, but now instead of being here Thursday, it's scheduled for Friday delivery. Grr! It's only 7 hours away!!

Congrats awor!! Finally!
Question, why is it in Calgary? I thought satellite office's only sent packages within the US. Oh well, at least its coming to you!

Lordy I am suffering from bitter-sweet. It is so great to see that people are getting PPR (yeah you). But it sucks that we are still waiting. We ordered CAIPS again to see what is up. We really didn't want to spend another summer in the south but here we go again.
