My wife, the applicant, couriered her PPR request and passport on May 17th (they received it on 18th and signed for it) within the US as an outland applicant. I was wondering how long does it usually take to get everything back? Waiting has not be kind to my wife.

Please note we did send within a self-addressed courier for them to return her paperwork.

My husband sent his to the Fort Erie address on May 7th and they received it on the 8th. He had a "decision made" notice on Ecas on May 18th. They mailed the COPR/passport back on June 5th and we received it on the 6th. He used Xpress Post both ways.

Would someone please update my info on the spreadsheet? I got sponsorship approval on May 29th and it was transferred to LA same day. Thanks!

Please PM me your updates.

My passport is officially in the mail. The USPS website says I should receive it tomorrow! :D Hopefully I won't have to land before next Thursday...

Given that a few of us have been told our passports were on the way back, but didn't register with USPS until after the date stated, I think it's possible the agents in Buffalo finish processing files and then hand them off to a second person or group to do a final check before they go in the mail.

Buffalo is on a roll - let's keep 'em coming!!!

I will be landing probably within 2 weeks via Niagara border. I will be appling for PR card and SIN. After landing I will be returning to USA within 3-4 days and then after 2weeks I will be going to Toronto with all my household belongings permanently. As per my knowledge I will receive my PR card within 1 month of landing at my In-laws adress (my residing adress). I want to know If I land and come back to USA and again go back permanently after 2 weeks with my belongings while my PR card is still in process for receiving, Will I be allowed to do so without my PR card? I will be having my SIN document with me and my COPR copy with me.

I also want to know if my husband is coming with me at the time of landing, Is he considered to be coming back permanently? Since we both will be returing back to USA for packing our household stuff. Is it possible that he declares all his belonging at the time of going there with household stuff?

Please advise

I'm so worried.. I still haven't heard anything back. My application was sent since July 5, 2011 and it was said to be processed Jan 12. what took them so darn long? anyone with application back in May- July , 2011 and still waitting ? looks like everyone got the PR decisioni faster than I do.. And now the Buffalot office is closed, I really dont know what to do any more. So frustrating.

Hi,

*** CONGRATULATIONS, Parker24!!! ***

Have a wonderful weekend celebrating :)

Good to know also that it's off to LA. That means LA is still processing Permanent Resident Apps (to answer questions a few pages back)

Just popping in to say hi and answer a few PMs.

Things are ok here, got our SSNs and finally got Alberta Health this week (been fighting with it since we got our 1 year VRs, Calgary was seriously dropping the ball), got both my businesses going (web design and selling handmade soap), still waiting on PR cards (not that we need them, the COPRs have worked for everything so far). Kids are in school, and life is pretty good.

Remember that your immigration journey is a bump (a big one, but just a bump) in the road of life. It sucks to have your life on hold, but when you get to the other side of it, well, it's done, over with! Good luck everyone. PM me if you have questions, need added to the transfer spreadsheet, etc. I don't come to the forums anymore but I'm glad to help other who need advice.

I posted this in the main spousal thread as well, so sorry about the redundancy.

I just received my COPR and I want to make sure I'm reading it correctly. Under "Application Details" it says "Valid to: 2013/05/12". Under "Medial Details" it says "Valid to: 06/13/2012". The enclosed letter indicates that I just need to land before the date under "Application Details". Is that correct?

Thank you!

It was the same with my husband's. Valid to 2013/04/27, Medical Details valid to 04/28/2012. They told our MP that they had extended the medicals, so I don't get it. Oh well -- should be fine (I hope!).

I started an LA spreadsheet, I'm curious about the timeline for them. If your file went to LA let me know! :) I'm also curious how they pick which VO it goes to, so if you could also let me know what state your spouse is from, it'd be interesting to find out! :)
