FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just got up and checked my email, and had one that looked weird and spam-like, but it was my PPR!!!!

Now have to decide if I'm going to trek up to Buffalo in the next two weeks or if I have to wait til I get back to Canada before sending off my passport. I think with Thanksgiving next week, it may not get returned in time for my flight back to BC.

Do you think I'd get hassled at immigration at the airport if I get there without visa but with PPR email, and send off passport once within Canada? Not sure what the best option is (other than rather costly flight, hotel, rental car in Buffalo).
Congrats

Congrats to everyone with update this week either PRV/PPR. Hope next week brings more Good news.

Do I use the same photo specs as the medicals? I got those done at Sears, that's who the consulate recommended.

Same specs as medical and the ones you sent in before. They ask fo recent pictures, though it says with the last 12 months. I'd take new ones. I's worth not having to worry.

Nice that there are so many PPRs in the last few days.

The statement that non-complication people are getting done. That's just silly. If there were problems the people would at least hear something concerning the problems. This is obviously an issue with Buffalo and their dumb systems. (my 2 cents) (btw i miss the (c) symbol) lol

Didn't get around to asking....did you ever receive AOR (email) or in process (e-CAS)? And if so, when?

We didn't recieve AOR, the first contact was the email approving my wife's sponsorship(July 10). We did get an email on July 26 which let me know they recieved my app in Buffalo. Next contact was the letter dated September 29, which asked for the RPRF and said there would be no interview.

e-Cas updated: Decision Made.

(Incidentally, it's also been changed to reflect my wife's married name, rather than the original application that had her maiden name, as that is what her documentation at that time had).

Nice that this came about 3.5 weeks after PPR and a solid 3 days after they actually issued the visa!

That thing is in its own time zone. You all are landing next week for sure I hope!

Sponsorship approval from Mississauga is always the first communication from CIC. If you got an automated email saying when the PR portion of your file was received at Buffalo (includes your Fxxxxxxxxx and Bxxxxxxxxx file numbers and Buffalo's signature), that's the Acknowledgment of Receipt.

Does anyone else in here have an interview on December 7 in Buffalo?!

Someone else might have it around this date. But on the same date would be quite unlikely.
Could you share your timeline? When did you get AOR and interview request?
Good luck with the interview.

Congrats on all the new PPR's! The timelines in ddobro2's sig was getting rather depressing for a while there. ;)

i am still writing back and forth with ATIP department regarding my notes request and I would say they are good at what they do and appreciate that they respond to emails, although I still have not received them. :-[

Oh ok, thanks for clarifying that about the AOR. :)

For completeness in the spreadsheet, I went in process Nov 10.
Funny how I now get several eCAS updates... lol
