Hi Guys,

For you guys who got passport back from Buffalo office, did you get 2 photos back from them? I was requested to bring 3 photos in my passport request e-mail. When I went to pick up my visa in Buffalo, I got 2 photos returned. I forgot to ask them about it and I was thinking maybe those 2 photos would be used when landing. However I landed yesterday and I didn't have to use those 2 photos. Is there anyone know what are those 2 photos for? Seem like most people in this forum sent passport by mail not in a person. Did you get 2 photos back as well?

It was only an hour. I arrived there around 9am. At the lobby, I scan my passport at the security and got the no. card to attach to my shirt. I went upstairs. There was 3-4 people in the line before me. I was waiting for 15 min in the line and then I handed my document to the officer. After she checked my document, I was asked to take a seat and wait for a call. I asked her how long it would be, she said around 1 hour. However after I sat for 30 min, they called my name and gave me COPR document. I was asked to check if name and address were correct before leave.

I'm planning on getting my visa in person so I'll write a note down and see if I can remember to mention about the number of pictures. I'm trying to plan the trip out now and hopefully leaving in the next week or two.

Yes, I got 2 photos retuned too from Buffalo together with my passport. Thought that's odd... there was a clear instruction on the website to included 3 with your passport (however another page says 2, which is confusing). Anyone knows for sure what it is about??

maybe they just want you to send some extras, in case of error, or damage???

then, if all goes well, they return the extras. But if not, rather than send a letter back to the applicant asking for a new picture etc etc stretching out the process further, they already have a couple of 'in case of screw up" extras??

Trying to plan out the trip to pick up my visa. So far, I plan to go to Buffalo on a Monday, then go to the cosulate office first thing on Tues morning. My question is, should I book my return flight to Canada on Tues evening or wait til Wed? Unfortunately my hubby can't come with me and I'll be going alone. We're anxious to get the visa and for me to find employment.

What happened in the interview? What did they want to know about? How did you comport your documents? Any problems?

Hi Allison.. thanks for ur wishes.. i m on the top of the world.. ;D ;D ;D

The interview went really well.. The IO just wanted to ask about my rejected visitor visa.. n wanted to check on our marraige and relationship.. the IO was really nice.. she gave me full chance to speak..
she gave me time to adjust n asked me to narrate the full story of my relationship with my husband starting from the 1st day we met... she told that i could show corresponding proofs along with my story or before or after...
I showed her my wedding albumn and the list of all mails n chat records starting from the 1st day of our communication...
She didn't even listen the whole story.. I had jst finished showing her the wedding pics and joint Tax filed proofs when she said that "I am going to select your case because I m convinced that your relationship is genuine".. It was lunch time by then so she said that I could come at 1:15pm(after lunch) to collect my passport from the reception... although it took a bit time for the visa to get stamped.. I finally got my visa on the pp and my landing papers at 2:30pm
the agonizing 1 yr 1 month and 4 days of being apart are finally over.. both of us r on the top of the world... most probably i'll be landing tomorow...
