Hello everyone - I'm trying to seek information

I'm from the November 2010 thread and just wanted to ask any Buffalo applicants if they've received an letter/email from Buffalo stating the following:

Dear Applicant:

This is to advise you that your application for permanent residence has been received at the Regional Programme Centre (RPC) and that a file has been created for you. Your file number appears above. Quote this number when corresponding with our office.

How long after did you have to wait for actual confirmation that they were working on your application or for PPR?

That's just the AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) letter. You can look at our table to see when we got it in the mail, as opposed to when our eCAS started showing our cases were In Process. In my case, my file was In Process 1 week before the AOR came in the mail, but it took them that week to update my eCAS to show this. They could just be slow updating your eCAS.

No one in October's thread has received PPR from Buffalo yet.

ive been only following the Outland Buffalo thread. We got our PPR on Jan 18, and I went and picked up my wifes Visa in person Just on Thursday. The timeline surprised us actually. Almost three months exactly to the day.

yahoooo..when i checked my ecas last week it says in process..now i checked it again and it says complete...

We received your application for permanent residence on November 9, 2010.

We started processing your application on January 12, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Congratulations Lee!

They received my application for permanent residence on December 2, 2010.
And they started processing on December 20, 2010.
Medical results have been received.

This is good news of course!
Tough.. I got a letter sent to my home address back in Holland (family scanned/emailed it to me) saying my sponsor has to pay The Right Of Permanent Resicence fee (Thats the 490 per applicant right? I paid all of it all ready tough.. Or does it neccessarily have to be the sponsor paying?)
And it says that I have to submit my original valid passport with it ??? (and send it to Mississauga)
Then I cant stay in Canada right? (without my passport) Or is it ok, since me and my passport will both be within Canada?

Yes The RPRF is $490 -

They're most likely asking for your passport to apply the visa within - you may have 2 options:
1. Mail your passport and have them mail it back to you with the visa applied
2. If your visa office permits - you can go in person to obtain your visa.

P.S.: Thanks everyone for providing me your AOR information & congrats Lee
