Hey all, just an update:

ohohogirl from the November 2010 thread just got PPR. That's the first one for the month of November. We have two other people with AOR, but other than that, nobody has heard ANYTHING.

I hope you guys hear good news this week, especially people going through Buffalo.

Yeah I'm just basing my guess after reviewing some of the New Delhi thread timelines. I'm in the dark about how any of it works. Hit and miss :)

Hey Everyone,

I have a quick question about something i must have overlooked while filling out the application.

If I am sponsoring from outside of canada (and am still living outside the country) do i need to be in Canada when my partner LANDS in Canada or when his passport is requested and they give the RESIDENCE PERMIT?

I find the wording very tricky on the CIC website and wind up second guessing myself all the time.

Thanks for the help!

And Hagar the Horrible got an update, file has been transferred to Detroit! Hope this speeds things up a tad, we shall see!

Cheers
Hagar.

Medical results have been received.

They also corrected my name which was mispelled.

We just got notification today that my request to extend my stay here in Canada as a visitor was approved. That's a relief! (Though I did get nervous before we knew what was inside and I thought the envelope was a news about permanent residence.)

Same thing happened to us. I held my breathe when we were opening the letter. It was an extension for the visitors visa. Wish they would process the PR's as quickly as they do the visitors visas!

ecas has changed to medical results have been received today. I think I will get a PPR letter soon. :)
