But Its the same like one on cic.gc.ca.Dmitri said:no i havent, maybe i should, anybody got a link?
I assume that's how it's supposed to work, but that's not always how it actually pans out. Especially since there are old threads lying around about people who were never able to use their receipt number, even after their file was finished processing. Their e-CAS just wouldn't let them in unless they had their client ID or file number, which obviously we don't get until we've had something mailed to us.Dmitri said:What doesnt make sense is people that are able to get into ecas using client id for exaple are not able to log in using receipt number.i thought once ecas is updated u are able to log on using any of the methods ie receipt number id, number record of landing number etc

Strange turn of events. My app should have been received by CIC by October 6, since our consultant said he mailed it off by October 4. (He's in Burlington, it only takes 1 day to get to Mississauga, 3 days if only using regular mail.)
However, I received the following e-CAS update tonight from matthewc's e-CAS Tracker, using my sponsor's info:
"We received your application to sponsor ************ on October 12, 2010.
We sent you a letter on November 9, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."
I'm annoyed that there has obviously been a mix-up somewhere about WHEN they received it, which meant a delay. It almost makes me wonder if it either got delayed because of a postal problem, or got mixed up with later applications when it got sorted at CIC after arrival somehow. But the good news is that if they DID "receive" it on October 12, they processed it very quickly. Good news for the rest of you with similar dates. I just have to wait longer than anticipated to receive the actual letter in the mail.
Might as well change my app filed date in the table too, huh? :
About the client ID: My husband (sponsor) does not have a client ID, since he is a Canadian citizen by birth. He will be given a client ID when they mail the sponsorship letter to us. I had my own client ID already because I was issued a visitor's record 4 years ago, and the visitor record had a client ID number on it.filipina said:hi rinnerz congrats... how do u got client id? can i used my receipt from online starts with letter Rxxxxxxxxx to check my status?
