Oh, I am getting so tired of people constantly asking me if I have "heard anything yet" I know they are well meaning but I am trying not to think and obsess about it and everytime I get asked, it brings it back into my head again and I get depressed! I feel like getting a t-shirt that says..."NO, I haven't heard anything yet, don't ask!"

I saw you had replied in this thread and got excited for u as I thought you had heard something today lol!

pinklady predicted today as my PPR day but nothing yet and I am also sick of people asking me have I heard anything, i just say oh you'll know when i do!

I have a feeling you will hear before we do! Still haven't gotten the letter for fingerprints they want so this will stretch on for a long time...unless they change their minds and decide they don't need them. They are ignoring the email I sent last week so no idea if it is lost in the post or what.

Jen i hear you and im sure everyone else on here does. There was a thread on here with genius immigration tshirts, i shall try and find it. I ended up writing a blog as i got so frustrated with other people, they clearly dont understand the full enormity of this process so those interested could read how it all works. Let me tell you it did the trick, although it didnt stop people saying "im sure it will be here soon", i felt like saying "how do you know????"" lol

Please be advised that the application is in queue for assessment. Please be patient as we will contact you when the application reaches the next stage of processing. In the meantime, if there is any change in the information submitted for the application please inform us as soon as possible.

Basically my file is not in process yet right...:-( ugh!

So I ordered my CAIPS notes back in Feb 2011 (last week) and I called the office in Ottawa that process the request to double check if I included a copy of my ID. They hadn't received it and the wonderful lady that helped me out said that they should have by now and have it in putted into their system..

I explained the situation and how anxious my husband and I are about this whole process and she asked me to re-fax everything directly and that she will try to have it expedited if possible and even have the $5 fee waived if possible..

Either way they have 30 days to respond to me according to her and she said that I should get my CAIPS notes by the 3rd week of April...

This just goes to show how great CIC here is compared to our respective embassies.. I look forward to some news from her soon

Either way, I was very happy with the thought of hearing something rather than nothing! I wasn't expecting anything until the 2nd or 3rd week of April anyway so it's not that big of a deal

Thought I would update you guys on this at least given that I have had no other updates since my last post!

I was afriad this would happen. A lot of us have received PPR and at least one of us, me, has received PR. So it's gotten very quiet on our topic board. I keep looking at our group but we need to really help those who haven't heard anything.

Agreed Luckiest guy! I keep looking and nothing... I no longer check the thread any more because since my last post 2 days ago, it's been quiet. so i figured since most ppl are almost done they probably no longer check the forum... hmmmm... oh well.. I get my CAIPS notes next week thanks to the nice people in Ottawa! hehehe so i'm excited!!

I'm still here! Feeling pretty depressed with the waiting but worried that each time I attempt to write it will come across as really negative or sad so I tend not to write as much.

I'm tired of people who keep telling me I need to "find happiness in myself, not a place"... how do I explain that where you live, the community and the natural environment can have such a tremendous impact on your wellbeing and ultimately 'happiness'? Or others that say "well it's not so bad where you are, why are you worried/complaining/anxious/whining?'. It's true, things could be a lot worse with all that is going on in the world, I am blessed... but doesn't mean I want to stay where I currently am. I want to be where my heart is and where it feels most authentic. So I just tell them that's what I want, (thanks for the empathy!) and I'm not holding out for less.

i hear you yogini and dont worry about feeling bummed... we all need an outlet to express how we truly feel so please feel free to use this forum..

aggghhhh i know what you mean about what ppl say... sometimes i just wanna throw something at them. i avoid public outings of any sort now thanks to all the questions and "concern" and tough love. i just wanna be!!

we are still here! I land officially tommorrow. I dont like to post too much as I know how hard it is to watch others get their PR and not you....We are still rooting for you! Other people will never understand, this has been the longest few months of my life, we all hear you and totally empathise!

I am still here too. Just nothing much good to say and absolutely no progress. Like Canadayogini I feel like I am whining and being negative so I keep quiet. And I am so annoyed with CIC London as they won't communicate with us or send us the letter that was promised over two weeks ago regarding the fingerprints, when I get started, I get into a rant! To be honest I almost feel like giving up so I have been concentrating on enjoying the spring in England and trying to put this whole mess to the back of my mind. When I think too much, I just get depressed.

oooh Jen, I agree the spring in England is such a lovely time, if it can capture your attention, even just a few minutes you are lucky! It's so full of promise. I feel for you too. I know from my time living in the UK that most anything involving official paperwork took a disproportionate amount of time and was always frustrating.

Good luck on your landing today. I bet it will feel awesome to know this is all behind you and will soon be a distant memory. Don't worry about posting your good news. I like to see others get through and celebrate their happiness. Yeah, I am slightly green with envy but that doesn't mean I don't wish the best for all of you lucky ones! Speaking of which, I keep checking to see if Pharoh posts. He must be in Edmonton by now and he must be bubbling over with happiness!
