They are fine with sending the app without the FBI report but will request it later.

...is it safe to say that you sent your application with out the FBI report? My husband's was an old one from 2006. I sent it with a post it saying I would be sending a more recent certificate a.s.a.p...that was the only thing that could cause a delay with our application...hopefully they get the fax my husband sent on Friday (He also sent the original by mail, will take about 2 weeks to get there...)

Okay everyone, when you finally finished your application, did you feel sick to your stomach? lol

I just sealed up the box containing the application to sponsor my husband who is living in Nigeria. Now, because of where his app is processed (in Accra, Ghana), we really have to put in a stellar application since 40% of spousal sponsorships are denied.

I finally finished today. My application and supporting documents is a total of 642 pages, along with 210 photographs.

I have gone over everything over and over and over again, and now that I have sealed up the box, I am starting to feel sick to my stomach. I am so terrified I have forgotten something!

I think I need to go to bed. I will take it to the post office tomorrow.

Oh, by the way, where did you send your app? To the PO Box or the courier address? I am planning to send it Canada Post Priority. Is there a better way? It is in a box that is 9x12x5 inches deep.

love: I think that would be ok. People often send the documents in later. Some people even send their official marriage license after the application has been submitted.

bob'swife: I was just relieved! I had been working on it since January! It reminded me of making the huge teaching portfolios in college.. they say no knowledge is wasted! The stakes are a lot higher this time though. We will mail ours Monday (Hubby's boss FINALLY got the letter!), and I'm still afraid I missed something. When I left it in Toronto with him last weekend, I went through it at least 4 times a day!

I would send it to the courier address and ask for signature confirmation. You can't get signature confirmation with the PO box (DON'T USE UPS!)

Mine is in a GIANT padded envelope.. like, I didn't know they made envelopes that size! I bought three large portfolio containers, one for my app, one for his app and one HUGE one full of the relationship evidence.

just paid for spousal family class with 2 dependents (less than 22 y.o.) fee, hope we paid the right fee amounting to 1340, is it right? getting more and more worried as the day in submitting our documents this week approaches thinking there might be something else wrong or missing. :'(

i have an additional question to ask on list of addresses we lived in, should one put the address where ive lived for a month or 2 while on vacation / tour? i lived in 3 places, rented a place one after another while i was in canada as a tourist within 6 months, should i put all of them there too? thank you very much for the help

I don't know about the fees but you should go ahead and just put every address you lived in, just in case.

I sent my application Canada Post Priority and it arrived in Mississauga this morning! I have had dreams the past two nights about missing information, but I know the application was complete and thorough.

Now the waiting game begins! I am hoping sponsor approval will be finished by end of June.

I'm hoping for a speedy sponsorship approval too.. I'm crossing over in June by myself for my 'summer break'. I'll just bring the cat and a few clothes, along with my lease and pay stubs, hopefully I won't have trouble! I may have to cross back over in August for a reception that was SUPOSSED to be in early July but had to be postponed.. I don't really like that!

We received the FBI Certificate in the mail today so that was basically 6 weeks from when we sent it out. Not bad. But now I have to forward it to CIC-M and we havent received anything yet from them stating they have our application.

Heather, did you get a confirmation from the courier that it got to Mississauga? That might be all you get before a sponsorship approval. Maybe you will need to wait until the file goes to Buffalo? Maybe you can try to contact Mississauga?

We did get courier confirmation that the package was received in Mississauga. I sent a fax to them on Monday because we knew they prints were coming and I have not heard back so I am not sure what to do. I hope the rest of it moves as quickly as the fingerprints did.

Got my FBI clearance today. Woot! April 2nd to May 19? Talk about faster than expected.
