Still waiting for hubby's boss' letter, grrr.. but it should be this week hopefully!

Some people do send along the app before they get the FBI check because it takes so long.

Yeah, but we sent a copy of the fedex receipt for sending out the fbi prints with our application...

They are fine with sending the app without the FBI report but will request it later.

We are very glad to be guided with everything in this forum and hope that everyone gets their visas approved soon. We will be sending our family class sponsorship application this may 2010 and it has given us sleepless nights checking and rechecking everything which can be very frustrating when something is still wrong or missing. Now we are confused on paying the fees as we plan to submit our application to cpc-m on the last week of this month and we are hoping they receive it within May 2010. One of the applicant's child will be 18 this june. Question is, will they require us to pay for the soon to be 18 child's PR fees along with the others?

Hey missmyhoney, the forums have helped me so much too.. I've spent months putting the app together, and I'm sure everyone else has as well. I'd say as long as they get the app before his birthday it's ok, but someone with more experience may correct me on that one!

here a issue, my lawyer said CIC Mississauga made a new rule and its happening that if file is coming there without PCC they r sending back that file with mark that send with PCC.

that's why we did wait for PCC and send with that.

just got this information so i thought i do share with all of u.

Thanks Rocky! That's good to know. fbi charged our CC 2 weeks ago and we are keeping our fingers crossed now hoping that it will arrive anytime this week so we could send out the package to CIC-M.

I got my FBI report about a week after they charged my card, but I live 40 minutes from the FBI center in West Virginia, so it might not be as fast in other areas

We are having ours sent to an Ontario address so I am going to give it 3 weeks. Our biggest fear is that they will send us a letter saying that we have to redo the fingerprints.

Another problem is that we only have a joint car insurance but no lease/bank account and we are applying common-law. We also have letters from friends/families saying that we have lived together for more than 12 months and bills on our separate names that go to the same address. Hope everything will turn out fine after we send the package out.

Funny, I would think a major change like that would be made known/highlighted somewhere.. Shipping there was expensive..

I know some people sent it in without the FBI paper and it was ok but I don't know any information about if that has changed or not.. hopefully not for your case

Just sent off my application today!

We sent it without the FBI reports, but inlcuded photocopies of the money order used to pay for it, as well as proof of delivery (FedEx) from 4/23/10. I hope they don't send it back.

Now for the waiting. We're a pretty straightforward case, I think- married, living together, no children- so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this process goes smoothly and quickly.

This application is killing me! We have a couple issues...one is that I was divorced and have three children who have never met their step-father because he couldn't get a TRV to come to Canada, and two is that we are processing in Accra, one of the most difficult offices. So I am working on this application all the time, and stressing out!

I have HUNDREDS of pages of documentation.

I can't wait to be done...hopefully will have it sent out this weekend.
