our application was received this morning in Missisauga - now the wait is on! thanks to everyone on the forum for their help in this process, it's such a relief to know we're not alone!

Shipped our Kit Yesterday and our application was received this morning in Missisauga. It is very well organized and the paperwrok is near as tall as a can of pop lol. I have visited my Wife Maria in Russia now three times and we have known each other for two years, Married in Moscow on Feb 4th of this year. Just returned from Moscow on the 3rd. We applied for a Visitor Visa during this trip and know it's not the best odds but hoping she can come to Canada for 3 months while we wait. I miss her so much and it has only been a few days.

Hi everybody our file was send yesterday which one received this morning :)

So i Finally sent out my application today after 3 days of not sleeping good trying to put everything toghether lets see what happends now. The Only missing Document missing was the Option C print out but i wrote a letter letting them know that i called canada reveneu 4 times and i was always on hold for more than 15 min (Thats how long my break at work is) and i had to hang up the phone to go back to work and by the time i finish work is to late already to call. I did send a copy of my 2009 tax return and a job letter from my current employeer and all my 2010 paystubs hope this help and i dont get the papers back asking me for this option c print out.

I will be surprised if they do not return your application, CIC needs an Option C if not your application is considered incomplete. I suggest that you keep calling Canada revenue, get your option C and mail it right away before CIC opens your application. This will minimize the delay if not they will return it and you will have to resubmit your application...will be a total waste of time..

^^^^^^^^^^ I tend to agree. The fact that you did not make the effort to obtain this document might look poorly for you overall. Why couldn't you have taken a morning off work to call? This application is serious stuff!

Regardless, I do know the frustration of being on hold with Revenue Canada, so I do hope it all works out for you and your first stage is approved!

Hi Everyone! My husband sent our application out this past Monday, and it arrived in Missisauga Tuesday morning. After months of working on it, I'm so relieved to have it out of my hands, and I'm trying not to worry that I may have missed something that could delay the whole process. Good luck to you all! Now the waiting begins!

Hiii Moooo, yup nothing in Ur or our hand once we send our package there :)
Please tell us it's in land or out land and which visa office?
Thanks and all the best

Hopefully, me and my partner are sending in our application this week, after working on it for a long time. It will be such a relief but yet very stressful knowing it's up to "them" now..

Our application is outland through Buffalo. I'm American (and live in Buffalo, NY) and he's near Hamilton, ON. Should be pretty straightforward, no kids or previous marriages. Feels good to not have to work on the application anymore!

Hi moo48,
yup if past record is all clean as u said no previous marriage or kids. Of course it's help in the case for speedup.

Hi moo, I'm the same way (although we are much further away from each other than Buffalo vs. Hamilton!). Hopefully we will both have a speedy process.

In Toronto right now until tomorrow.. we're having some trouble finding someone who will notarize his mom's letter about our relationship. It was much much easier in the states.. my mom just went to her bank and it was free! I also didn't know you had to ORDER a paper to pay the fees at a bank (100% my fault!) so we are waiting until the cash 'applies' on his credit card before we pay that.. is the online payment process pretty straightforward? Nonetheless, once we square all that away it'll be in the mail.. today or tomorrow probably! I'll be so glad to get this done.. I probably look over everything at least 3 times a day and I'm still terrified of leaving something out or screwing something up!

We had to buy a giant portfolio thing to hold just our relationship evidence! :P

Hi Sbwv09,

yup online payment is cool. u just have to pay there and take print out when payment made and attach with Ur file coz and keep scan copy also for future.

my wife paid online.

Another advantage of online payment is the receipt number that you can use to check your application status..... of course atleast after 35 days or so...

FBI charged my card today.. The app and medical are in.. hmm, this move thing may just actually happen huh?
