I also felt the earthquake here in Ottawa, I thought there was a ghost or something . But when I went at the veranda and looked around, I saw many people coming out from other buildings, police patrols too. It was so weird and didn't even think to run because I'm 8 months pregnant. ;D I hope it will never happen again because it was really scary.

Hello all,

I am also a May 2010 Applicant. We sent our app on May 18 and CPC-M has received our app on May 20. Until now, we haven't received any news neither the sponsorship approval letter nor e-Cas. We will try to wait for another week, and we hope we will receive the sponsorship approval letter delivered to us by the end of this month. It seems the process takes longer upto 48 days now. We have to be patient for this waiting game

Btw, we requested/tried to obtain Option-C printout on Feb 2010 (the latest year of his working in Canada was 2005) with CRA before we submitted our app to CPC-M. We haven't received any letters from them as we requested to have it deliverred to our Australian address where we are currently living. We guess it'd be lost on the way Thus, we didn't send Option-C (year 2005) along with our app as my husband (Canadian citizen) has been living/working outside Canada for 5 years now, and he's been filing taxes in Australia only ever since. He has only attached his company letter stating that he's been employed outside Canada, current salary and paid taxes in Australia. Is it ok for our app? We read the earlier threads of May 2010 application, it seems that some obtained it but some did not. Should we try to contact CRA to obtain Option C and resend it to his parents's address in Canada? (if that is the case, we have to bother his parents to send it to our Australian address once they receive, it's gonna be very long way/time from the north to the south deliverred to us).

Not sure if it is ok or not but the last year I filed taxes was 1997 so in the place of an option C I wrote a letter stating that I have not filed since 1997 and so have no Option C and that I was sending my last years tax return in the place of the C printout.

Sponsorship was approved last week.

Thanks, heatherusa. My husband explained that why he didn't obtain Option C and did not file taxes in Canada since he left (same as yours). He just attached the company letter that he filed taxes here in Australia. He just received his Australian taxes returned of year 2008 after our app submitted. We will just wait and see if they need any more proofs according to this. We hope the company letter is fine for CPC-M.

Hey Everyone!

I was able to log in today, and it says decision made and letter sent! They received our app on May 4th.

Just wanted to let you all know, a very nice woman from immigrations called us about 2 weeks ago to tell us that we forgot to include the last page of one of our forms for my husband's app (He's the sponsor.). She has us send her that last page, and now it says decision made. (hopefully its the right decision.)

I thought it was VERY nice of her to call and tell us that, as she could have just returned the whole thing. But I'm worried that they will lose other pieces of our applications, because I don't know how I could have forgotten that one page. Oh, well. I'm choosing to believe that I did forget it, and they aren't losing my stuff.

moo 48, I think you were lucky in the hands of that nice woman who called you to send that last page to her instead of returning the app back. We still wait for our letter. Being patient until next week. ;D

happy happy !!!!!! my husband called to ecas yesterday and our application was approved on june 22nd and sent it to mexico city visa office today.

we sent the application on may 4th and was recieved on may 7th . we have not recievied the letter approval yet .
my husband sent the application without the print c just t4 and a letter explaining the reason.

i logged in ECAS today and it say DECISION MADE....hoping to receive a letter from them soon......dont know whether sponsorship is approved or not....

we sent appln. on may 17th and it reached CPC on may 19th and letter sent on june 22nd(not yet received). i was able to login on june 24th.

I don't find a fax number - but we have to contact them as well and will do so by regular mail.

hello to all....

when i checked my ECAS it shows my hubby's old home address as mailing address and the residential address is the current residence's address. i dont know where they have sent the formal mail.i think it would his old address. but in our appln. he specified his current address as mailing address then why didnt CIC update it?

what should we do now? can we request them by calling the agents to send the letter again to our new address?

We sent you a letter on June 22, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


Hope the letter arrives this week, that would be sweet!

Also, on e-cas it has my husband's middle name as MICHAE instead of MICHAEL. Does this matter?

its before , as u probably know ,try with receipt number and sponsor details .

did u call to see to what date they got to? :-\
