Hey.. I sent mine off the 17th.. no news yet! They say they are processing apps in Mississauga from May 3rd and they say it's taking 45 days.

My medicals expire in AUGUST 2010, and I sent my app end of may...is it true if a decision is not made by that time....i will have to re-do my medicals (or will be asked to do them again?)....please let me know!

We got our sponsorship approval in the mail today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our app was received May 3rd and the letter is dated June 8th! Our file been forwarded on to Buffallo! IT'S ALL HAPPENING! And now to dig in for the big wait. Can't wait to hear everyone's great news!

quick question - has anyone heard of receiving confirmation via email? I live with my husband in South America and the mail service here is always super slow (1 mail man for the whole city!!). I remember putting my husband's email address on the application forms in hopes that they would send correspondence that way instead of snail mail.

we sent our application May 7th so we're hopeful to hear something soon...but if the e-cas system isn't updated regularly and they send us a letter via mail, we might not hear until July!!!

does anyone know? Thanks in advance

vervain - congratulations!! Very exciting to have our first approval letter!

minku9 - yes, your medicals must be valid at the time you land in Canada. So if your application is not completed and you haven't landed by August they will ask you to do the medicals again. Unfortunately, this will add an approximate 2 month delay to your case. Sorry!

I think you must mean June instead of July
