Our status on Ecas just updated to "in process"!! Any news is good news at this point!!!

I am so desperate to feel positive about anything right now!
My son leaves for Basic Training with the U.S. Army today! This is going to be a VERY emotional and traumatic day, I can tell!

Keep my son in your thoughts please! He has been in Calgary with us for the summer and now he has to go back and be "under age" in the U.S. again. He is bummed.

He is going to defuse explosive devices....not scary at all...

I hope I have more good news to report SOON!!!

Passports off to Buffalo this morning. Their ETA is tomorrow morning (hopefully). ETA back in my hands is August 18th.

Thanks Chinook! He is taking a large chunk of my heart with him. I will be a "Proud Army Mom" PAM from Canada. I was always meant to be schizophrenic I guess.

8 days would be August 2nd! We will see!!!

I was just wondering if anyone has read this information....my understanding is that if it says medicals received they have or are close to making a decision.....it falls under the Decision Made step....anyone else have input???


We have been here for 3 weeks....and nothing....grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hello All,

I just logged into ECAS and saw that my file was updated to "In Process" however have not received a file number and do not see notification that my Medicals were received (they were sent with my original submission back in March). Is this unusual or am I looking in the wrong place?

I sent my medicals with my application and they never mentioned it to me during the process. Keep in mind that when you get your passport request, your expiry to land could be one year from the date on your medicals. That's what happened to me..

My husband and I were wondering the same thing about when ecas shows medical received. Ecas updated on Thursday "in process" and once we clicked on that it was that they have received our medicals. I think maybe someone should post this question in the buffalo thread. I will let you do that since my husband doesn't like me to go on the forum...something about it making me crazy! Best of luck to you, let me know what you find out!!

Looking at the spreadsheet is disheartening for hubs and I. Some couples who have approx the same timeline as us already know that their file is in progress and are farther along than us. All my ecas says is "application received", I'd rather see it as "received" or "in progress"...some change would be nice. Sorry I just had to vent
