jlewison...here is an answer I got from Rinnerz...

It's not. Many people never even get the update, despite medicals being received right at the beginning of the process (confirmed by CAIPS notes). Others have often gotten the "Medicals received" update at the beginning and then nothing for as much as 7+ months. People's experiences with this are all over the place. You just cannot use the medicals eCAS update (or really, any update aside from a final "Decision Made") as a way to gauge how far along your process is.

Mine showed that medical exam recieved since it said application received, (since may 17th) so it probably has nothing to do with almost being done..

I send the VO an email asking for my husbands file number back on july 7th and i still haven't recieved a reply...I want to order our CAIP notes but I heard it's faster if u have the file number, does anyone know if that's true?? This is sooo frustrating since we've been in-process for almost 2 months and we havn't heard anything...not even a reply to my inqiry...

I'm leaving to visit my husband next week and im going to be there for 6 weeks. I'm planning on emailing them to let them know that, maybe they'll hurry it up and I can bring him back with me

Looking at the spreadsheet is disheartening for hubs and I. Some couples who have approx the same timeline as us already know that their file is in progress and are farther along than us. All my ecas says is "application received", I'd rather see it as "received" or "in progress"...some change would be nice. Sorry I just had to vent

Yup me too... We put our application in FIRST and ours still just says application received, I did get a response to an email inquiry that we are infact in process, but other than the generic email, nothing else since April 7th. Except the random missing address for a few days.

The delay that is spoken about is to cover themselves, sure it is easier with a file number, but most people order CAIPS/GCMS without a file number and still receive the package in a sensible timeframe.

so i guess my AOR date is June 2nd.

I just received the letter. only 2 months late. They are also requesting his birth certificate. so know we have 5 days to get it there since 60 days is alsmost over...soo frustrated my head is throbbing and it's only 2:09 pm...way too early for this kind of headache.

on the bright side. I do know have my husbands file number, and was able to sign into e-case with his info so i guess i'll have the file number for the CAIPS that I'm going to appply for today.

LOL I had the same reaction to seeing your name here....there are a few of us so close together that when I see the names pop up, I get excited and hope someone has had some good news!!

Hubs and I can't take not seeing one another since March so he will be visiting for 10 days for the sake of seeing one another <3

Hello Every body ...

I am a CSQ holder of Dec.2010 who received my federal file number at 3rd March 2011. my application has been in "Application received" mode from 3rd March until today.

1. Can any one tell me when exactly i should expect my application status to be changed to "IN PROCESS"
meanwhile, is this thread fits in my situation?
