Thread for MARCH 2010 applicants!

As of today, my wife and I are still patiently waiting for a status update from CPC-M for our application filed that they received on March 18, 2010. From what I have been reading, people have been receiving responses approx. 1 month after filing applications even though website show 60 days for application received before February 11, 2010.

If this is true, inshallah it is, I should along with many who filed their application around the same time be receiving updates soon. All we can do is pray and be patient that in the end the process works and all will work out in the end. Its a difficult wait, but my wife and I know we will be together soon and that keeps us going strong.

From what I have found, I believe the online application progress status is updated once a week on Tuesdays. Is that correct? or is it worth checking daily?

I think for sponsorship applications from CPCM they update the status daily except weekends so you might wanna try your luck on Monday

You don't need to check your status everyday, just register yourself with E-Cas tracker and it will send you an email once your file is activated on their system.

Are you using Receipt Number as Identification type? I heard it only works if you paid application fees online.
Also register to ecas tracker and it will send you an email once your file is activated on CIC system.

We're trying to get into Ecas with receipt number (did pay online), but nothing yet.
And yes, I signed up for the tracker

I am sure as soon as there is some update on ecas, ecas tracker will send you email. Did you register any other identification items apart from the receipt no ?

my husband is a canadian citizen and he has filed the application from calgary. now i am here in new delhi and waiting for some reply from missisauga . i wanted to visit my husband on a visitor visa, plz tell me can i apply for the visitor visa when i have already applied for the PR . does it effect my PR application in any manner.

Its not even a month yet when your application was received mine was received on same date as yours expect online update either this week or next

Mine was transfer to Buffalo since Mar-29 but no news yet. I hope my status will update within next 1-2 weeks.
