Yey, finally got through to speak with the officer (888#), told her about my concerns and got the great news that my file was transferred to Warsaw today :)
She said that there is on file my phone conversation with the officer, but no need to send anything now (probably the letters were misplaced....or else ;) )
Phew, ...now another waiting begins

Congrats! Kolibri, That is great news.

Thanks, Danifry!
I was SOOO nervous all day today, and also was not able to get through to talk to someone until only now.
I believe your application probably was also processed today, now have to wait till official letter comes to prove it. ;)

Are you able to sign into ur e-cas? I can´t. was ur payment online?

We got the letter for the sponsorship apporval (Yay!) but the letter also said that I was missing IMM 1017 (the one from the doctor). At the appointment, I asked the doctor twice if I needed anything and they said no. Then went home, looked at the checklist and it said I needed it. We went back to the doctor who then said that it was not needed even for outland apps and that he would send his part. I called the doctor explaining that I need the form and they said to send 2 passprt photos and they would mail the form to me. After I recieve the form from the doctor, I'll send it to Buffalo via Canada Post 2 day service with signature requirement. Will there be a long delay when they process my file? I'm really worried that the form will get lost or something at the office. Should I included a note? If so, what should I include on it?

Danifry: yes, I paid the whole amount online. But no, I can't login to e-cas. I guess they don't update the file immediately.

Nej: thanks for support. I'm so sorry to hear about the doctor's incompetency... I believe you should send it to your visa office with client Number you received with the approval letter. On the letter you may say "The form erroneously was not issued to me by the designated medical practitioner at the time of medical examination. Thus I'm forwarding the Form for your consideration. Please see enclosure." - something like that... I would write...I don't think it should delay the process if you send it immediately with the client number, or even e-mail them first with the scanned form as an attachment, saying that you are sending them the original. Good luck!

Thanks Kolibri for your reply. I just have to wait......

FYI: I was able to login to ecas this morning using my client Nr. (on my (sponsor) PR), however it didn't go through with the receipt # though.

We're at exactly 1 month today since CPC-M received our application. Still no word. Still no e-CAS access.

I know a few people have been calling, but I also noticed that they increased the Application time to 60 days. Since most of you have had success in less than 30, would you suggest that we give them a quick call for a status update?

Logging in with the Receipt # doesn't work, and my wife is a Canadian citizen, living there since birth, so she has no "Client ID" that I"m aware of to attempt that.

It may seem silly to be so frustrated a month into it, but we've waited over a year to get all of the documents that we needed (married Feb 2009), and our patience has run very thin at this point...we just want to be together to raise our child. :(

Dear Frenchrock, I have no advice to offer you other than to say that you are not alone! I have a (I think) straightforward application I filed with CPC-M received according to FedEx on March 10 and I have heard nothing yet either. Going through Buffalo. All I can say is you're not alone, I know that there are lots of reports of people on this thread who could log into eCAS after 1 month but I think there are also several of us who can't and I am not convinced that it's all due to any problems or delays with our applications... especially with kollrbi's report just above yours that they were able to log in with a client number but not a receipt number--I have the feeling that those of us with only receipt numbers might be later getting updated in eCAS even though our applications are on track.

Anyway, I am trying to be positive and tell myself everything is OK!! Good luck to us and everyone else!

I would suggest you guys to call #888 number. The lady I talked with was SOOO pleasant and nice. She will be able to lookup the file and give you information about any changes made. (however it sooo hard to get through - all day long yesterday I was receiving a message "we cannot answer your call now, please try again later", and only ~ 5PM I was put in the line and was on hold ~ 10 min before anyone talked to me.
I would definetly suggest you try calling them. Your approval letter may on its way!

kolibri,
Did you provide your client number in your application or did they just match it up based on your name/birthdate, etc? My husband (sponsor) is a Canadian citizen because his parents are Canadian but he was born in the US and had to apply for proof of Canadian citizenship later on. So I have a citizenship file number that I have also tried to log in with, but I did not provide this number with the application (I didn't know he had this paperwork when I sent the application, I thought his parents had it and had lost it, I just came across it in our files a few days ago). We did include a copy of his citizenship card, but that doesn't have the file number. What do you think?

Abedelia,
Not sure if the client ID number is the same as citizenship file number, because I do have also a perm resident number (for some reason when I was trying to use it on ecas, they say I enter in a wrong format, however that was the only # I got for PR card..just weird..).
But on the application - yes, I did provide my clients number along withe my PR card copy.

I am pretty sure they are two different numbers, because I actually have a client number (from a previous student authorization and then a visitor record and then an extension to the visitor record--same number on all) and it is 8 digits with a hyphen in the middle. I tried putting that in too but since it's the sponsorship application I was not surprised when it didn't work. Anyway the citizenship file number has no hyphen but it's another option for an ID number you can put into eCAS, so I was thinking that might work. Except for the fact that we didn't put that number on our application... anyway. I'm being patient. Might try calling CIC on Monday. Thanks for your posts!!!

Hi all,

Sent my application to Mississauga at March 14 with Canada post (next day delivery) for outside Canada processing (New York, NY)
I didn’t received any answer from them yet. How long does it takes to receive my case number? Where are they sending the notification to my canadian address, to my us address or to my respresentativ?
Thanks.
