@rozin

Just wanted to ask you few questions.

Did you receive AOR or PPR from ND yet?? If yes how do they usually send it ? email or mail ?

When I log in to Ecas- PR application part says

We received (wife's name) application for permanent residence on August 11, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

Does it really mean that the ND office has received my file or it is just a normal update from CPC-M. As i got this update on the same day of my sponsorship approval and the date shown here is the date when CPC-M received my application.

Passport with visa received, October 21. Date stamp on Passport October 18th. All set to land

Thanks everyone, I landed at Edmonton airport ;D

You landed for a visit? Correct? You will have to do a flag pole when your visa is issued, am I correct?

Hi Everyone, its MandyUK, had to make anew login as I couldnt remember my original one and then coildnt get into my email lol. So wanted to update you on where I was, Im now in Canada, we landed at 5:15pm 24th, and as expected I was taken to speak with another immigration officer because of the overstay I had 10 years ago. While wating in line to see someone, I was pooping myself that I would get this really stern looking woman in the corner, and guess what! I did. But! she could not have been nicer, I went up to her and said that I had a PR application in process and wanted to come visit my husband for a while. She scanned my passport and asked if I had been deproted, my heart fell into my trainers, I thought that it had been made into a deportation without me knowing.
But I just said no it was a departure order and she asked my, and she said, dont worry, we all make mistakes. Then she said she could give me 6 months. Boy was I relieved. But what happened next nearly knocked my socks off.
She said to me, "you do know you can have longer yeah"? :o I said, Oh you mean extend it after the 6 months? she said, well yes you can do that, but I can give you 12 months now if you want. I now believe there is a Immigration god. I wanted to kiss her feet, I just looked at her and said, oh er...yes ty that would be great!
The relief as I walked out that door, was huge, it was the one thing I had been dreading, I couldnt get out that airport fast enough incase she came running after me to say a mistake had been made. So yay, Im here with my hubby, happy and excited and looking forward to a future. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Speak to you soon guys, Im off to get some sleep.
Mandy x :-*

CONGRATSSSSSSSSSsss
Have a blessed life ahead :)

SO SO SO happy for your Mandy!!!! I knew it'd work out!!! ;D ;D ;D

You'll be living in Alberta right? We should meet some day!

The VO in Bogota has opened the application for my wife, as the CAS system is now active. ;D

Good news, moving ahead, :)

@ kuku

I haven't received anything from ND yet! I have same update on my ECAS, the date the application was received at CIC-M and the date i got approved. And mine doesn't say anything about medical received. So, for me, I do not know what they are doing with my file!!

The first part seems like the normal update from CIC-M. But I am confused about the medical received part. Medical part is normally updated by ND isn't it? I think we should ask some senior member in this forum!

Yep, in Edmonton, just getting used to seeing cars on the other side of the road lol, having fun and settling in great. Would be awesome to meet sometime, ;D

see you in alberta as well. ;)

@rozin

Yes that second part made me confused..as far as I know it is the second part of the application and updated by ND. But I got it the same day which was around 5 days after my sponsorship was approved when they updated on Ecas. So I should conclude that my file is already at VO.. :)

Any suggestions from senior members ????
