Thank you magpie and BIG congratulations for your quick resolution! I'm still not hearing anything from the CIC, either email or snail mail. Our phone calls to CPC-M or the VO don't get through, these people have instituted methods to avoid being reachable or providing information when we press them about it. I've submitted a formal inquiry to our VO but I feel somehow apprehensive and negative at the outcome. The query form I submitted responded with a terse "you will receive a response within 28 days...." not exactly what we wanted to hear. Anyways, all my energies and expectations are invested in this process, I find it exhausting and unrewarding.

I'll update if I get any news.

Your info updated.

hey dear dont lose hope just pray god and u will hear good news soon

Great news. Application received at VO 6 October, Approved 12th October and Passport required for Visa. We should be home for Christmas. We had to telephoned to confirm and yes its true. Permanent Residence approved. This has got to be the quickest approval I have know. 91 days total to approval

congrats magpie!! that was fast! i wish all VOs were like that! :)

Congratulations Magpie!

Certainly wishing I applied outland now! I still have at least 8 months before they even look at my application.

But at least I get to be with my husband!

Know exactly what you mean sidkrose.... Sitting here in southern Germany not knowing if I will be here for Christmas or if I should give up my apartment (need three months notice)... Just frustrating, but I guess we have no choice but to wait and see. Sure hope things move along soon.... What part of Germany are you from?

It's actually my partner who is German, I'm the sponsor :) He is from Karlsruhe. I lived there for a year with him, but now he is still there, and I am here in Canada :(

I have a good feeling though, about the Berlin processing times. I have a secret hope that we will have PPR by mid-November, but I am definitely prepared for more inopportune timing...My partner is coming for Christmas, from Dec 11-Jan 7 and we are a little worried that they will send PPR while he is here, or shortly before he leaves for Canada...we will have to work it out if it comes to that I suppose, but I am holding out hope that we will be all done by Christmas :)

I am with my wife all throughout this ordeal except for the first 2 months. It is much easier going through this together and yes outland is faster.

they will give you 30 days to send PP when the request comes in so all may be okay

Think of us who are stuck in 24 months wait :(

Was FINALLY able to log into ecas today for the first time. It says medical results have been received! That's something, haha. Doesn't that mean that it has arrived at the VO? Does it mean that it is already in process?

Congrats July we made it!!!!! woohoo

I think it just means your VO has received the results. Not sure if it means it's already in process though - I wish!

If medical has been received then your file is in process at the VO.

Magpie, what are the processing times for your VO?

For me it appeared to be 8 days. We pick up passport and visa today. By the quick time at VO it only would indicate to me that most of the processing was done at CIC-M. The 8 days appeared to be reviewing the medical. It could be also because of a child involved too. I did send a cover letter indicating that the young person would be starting school next September and that we wanted english training so that he would not be left behind one year with his peers. I don't know. I do know that the 83 days at CIC-M had me saying some pretty nasty things under my breath but it only proved to me that long at the Canada end does not mean long at the VO end. I sent in only 30 photo's, no emails, or skype. I think in total about 50 pages besides the application and those pages were just the documents that they required. One can say it is like a crap shoot but then again I guess the information was all in order and proper. We spent 2 1/2 months preparing the app. and about 1 month of reading it over and over again to make sure that all was in order. I did not send in an Option C as it was not required to sponsor my spouse. I just sent in the pages of my statement that showed deposits regarding income. Once the due date came up I phoned once a week to check on the file until they gave me my UCI number. Then thing happened fast.

So for people to worry about timelines and watching others does not really mean anything to you. Each case is sperarted and has its own processing speed. I think having the google spread sheets only makes the wait harder and more nerve wrecking. So take it from me... relax it will all come in it own time .
