I've heard of buffalo apps getting sent to LA sometimes, but I can't remember why. I'd ask the buffalo thread if you haven't already.

For the reason stated in the email: to expedite the processing. Buffalo off-loads files to the satellite offices in L.A., Detroit and Seattle if the workload and timelines are higher than normal. They basically use these offices as a "pressure-release" valve to ensure that applications that could be more quickly processed if sent to another location don't sit around waiting.

Thank you both for replying I hope it gets done faster! Buffalo I think are on end of June early July's apps so my guess I wouldnt have been done until like March or April. Does anyone know how long LA is taking?

So much to my surprise my partner showed up a day early! It seems that he conspired with my family to arrive without me knowing so he could surprise me! I was pretty overwhelmed when he showed up at the door!

His landing went smoothly though. He told me that there was a huge line when he landed at YVR, but he was just asked some questions by the VO (things like: are you married? have you ever been? do you have children? have you been arrested?) and had to write down our address and phone number. They put something in his passport, because he will probably have to re-enter the country without his PR card, cause he has to go back to write some final exams after Christmas. That was it!

atlast good news , today i received passport request. i need to submit new medical and PC. weird thing is my medical is valid till june 2012. thanks to all, u guys supported me by providing useful information. good luck.
my timeline:
sponsorship approved 26th sep 2011( received letter on 3rd october 2011|)
SG requested additional documents: 14th nov 2011
in process in ecas: 17th nov
received PPR: 13th dec 2011(issued on 5th nov 2011)

gonna listen old DEF LEPPARD all night long

Thanks for congrats Guys, hope everyone else is just as quick. Ironically got a call from the border last night, my daughters form was not signed correctly, so we have to go back to border to do it again.......Doh!

Hi there you Guys,
Just wanted to let you know I landed Christmas Day, ;D everything went so smoothly and quickly...
I took an Air Canada flight from Zürich to Vancouver with a stop-over in Toronto where I officially landed. Everything went smoothly, just got asked a couple of questions, the Address which was written incorrectly on the COPR was corrected, where the PR Card will be sent to in aprox. 45 days, asked to sign the forms...got a stamp in my Passport .... then those magic words ... “Welcome to Canada”... went to the next desk, got my Welcome to Canada Information Kit... picked up my Luggage .. went through Customs with another "Welcome to Canada" and off I was on the next flight to Vancouver and my Hubby. Ja Ja Ja ... ;D It was totally uncomplicated and over and done with before I even realised it.

It's so nice to log on here and see so many people that have landed.
I've now joined their ranks - got my passport back with my COPR on 28th and drove down to the US border today to land.
