I do find it kinda weird that no July applicant has heard anything, not even a july 1-4th, so wondering if they are gonna wait and let them all know on a certain day instead of sending them out every so often, just my thought ;D

July applicants should start getting news this week onwards hopefully..2 months processing time for outland spousal sponsorship approval is the longest time in the history so far...

so Julians... your letter is on the way !!!

I called a couple of times but got told to try again later *sigh*

Tomorrow I'm jamming the phone lines until I get through though ;D Hopefully they will approve me just to get me to stop calling... hehehe

After theyre done working on your application how long does it take for them to send a letter? My hubby is coming to stay with me and wait out the rest of the process in early October and when we drive over the boarder I want to have my approval letter with me. Heres to hoping theyre on July 5th this week

I'm staying hopeful!

As I'm applying Outland but staying in Canada whilst processing, I have to maintain my visitor status here separately from my PR application. I was getting worried because my application for a visitor record still hadn't been processed. Went on the website yesterday to check processing times and they had gone up! It said (and still says) that on 31st August (when last updated) they were working on online applications sent on 10th July. So I figured it'd be another week, as I submitted it on 16th July.

Lo and behold, I check my post this morning and my visitor record is in there! Postmarked 31st August, Officially signed 30th August. I reckon they're saying they're working behind schedule, to stop people panicking and calling too soon. Bottom line: they updated on the day that my visitor record was sent saying they were working 6 days behind what they actually were.

Let's all stay hopeful that the times are just inflated to save people from calling too soon... x

In the meantime, check this <a href="http://www.cbc.ca/news/yourcommunity/2011/09/do-you-think-you-have-the-exercise-gene.html">Other news</a> and find out if you have the "excercise gene", then go out and start working out instead of staring at a computer screen LOL

luci1209, would you like to be added to the July applicants <a href="http://bit.ly/qrUqKR">spreadsheet</a>? You could thus see how you are progressing in relation to other July applicants.

If you want me to add you, please tell us what is your Visa Office and whether you got confirmation of CPC-Mississauga receiving your application and date.

Mel_R, if you refer to the letter they send when the sponsorship application is approved, I've seen is normally sent on the day they approve sponsorship, and they may also email you a notice, have you received that email yet? If not, it may take a couple of weeks to get to your mailbox.
