Hi all ! My file was transferred to New Delhi on Feb 28th 2011, I received a letter dated March 10th on March the 18th asking for my Passport and PCC which i have already sent and was delivered to CHC today morning. Would anyone here be able to suggest how long will it take from here now ?

Did you submit your application in January? If you did, please let me know your dates and I'll add you to our table

my ecas was updated to : we recieved your file in buffalo. im assuming that is my aor as well. when do they update you if any documentation needed? is it months from now?

You also, did you submit your application in January? Please let me know your info and I'll add you to our table. I don't think anyone knows what the timelines are for sure. It depends on the completeness of your application. If you look on the threads for November and December you can see about how long their applications have been taking.

Dear All

I filed an application sponsoring my Son who is 1.5 years in January 2011, received sponsorship approval on the 28th February 2011, file transferred to New Delhi on 7th March 2011.
Can some ne please advice me of the time lines at New Delhi and the steps I could take to expedite the process.

Please update my timeline (process took a bit longer than other's...but relieved to have heard from CIC)

Application processed - March 8
Letter sent - March 8 (Hubby received it on March 16)
E-cas active March 11
AOR - March 17

guys got approval letter today, application recieved jan 20, started processing feb 14

your timeline is awesome, you got PPR in less than two months?! (43 days right?) you are the second person who have application in manila that have that time line... wow. im so hoping mine will be that fast! congrats!!

hi dorisiana, dont worry maybe ur ppr is on the way already, tyro to check the post office, i got mine cos i went to the post office, plus maybe the cem sent me aor asap beacause they need additional requirements lol, they r asking for personal history ,photos ,pp and ditional family info, , anyway dont worry so much, i got a lot of additional infos to add some infos that was not included in some forms..tc

ariannecat, must hubby just passed our application on the 26th (feb) and received on the 28.. we still have a long long time to wait.. but seeing your timelines make me hopeful of a more faster and positive outcome.. i also hope you'll get the visa soooo soon!!

Im still waiting for my PPR letter to arrive. According to what I heard, the embassy sends out ordinary mail. Though it has a note "urgent", i think mine is taking longer compared to others from Manila visa office since my mailing add i submitted was our address in Canada.
And regular mail takes atleast 3weeks to receive.

Hope to get the PPR before the end of this month .
i never thought this would make me sleepless and stressed out from waiting. LOL

got my AOR letter and PPR today.. according to the letter, my application for PR was received mar. 8 then they sent the AOR last Mar. 9.. it took me 2wks to receive that letter. whew!!..

thanks mrsh.. i was really worried why i haven't received my letter yet since arianecat has already received her letter and we are almost of the same timeline.. unluckily, our post office were too slow on delivering that powerful letter..

Iam extremely confused. I sent an email to Buffalo about my permanent resident file status being not available on ecas. This is the response I got

"The creation of permanent resident applications in our database along with the mailing of the acknowledgement of receipt letter is taking a minimum of 30 weeks.

Any application submitted without the required documents and information will be returned to the applicant.

e-Cas is for applications processing within Canada only.



Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.

Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Buffalo.

Seems to me like there is a left hand knowing about the right hand, kinda issue.

My application clearly took less than 30 weeks to appear on e-Cas and it has information that was clearly updated by someone in London about my "outside Canada" application.

I presume that e-Cas is used differently by different IOs (in different countries) and as such the information conveyed is less than helpful in a lot of cases - tending to promote more confusion than answer questions.

For instance mine has said "COMPLETE" (inferring I have landed) & then "DECISION MADE" for the last two weeks and I am yet to receive a PPR.
