Well everyone...I have just gone and done something crazy impulsive (though I have thought long and hard about it for the last 2 days)...I booked a holiday to Canada to surprise my mom for her 70th birthday in 3 weeks time!!! And you can probably put me in the insane catagory as I will be travelling alone, without my husband for help, with my daughter who will be only 4 months old by then. I can see the looks of my fellow passengers already...I'll be getting the rolling eyes from people wondering who will be stuck next to us, or anywhere near us. She is a good baby and only really cries when she is hungry...but not sure how she will react to being on a plane for 9 hours, and the takeoffs and landings. I'll just be positive and hope that she wins them all over with her lovely smiles and cooing noises.

I sympathise with Buffalo people, because Warsaw office has bee quiet for too long as well. And there is no one on this forum going thru warsaw VO, so I have no idea if this is only my file or they are just slow. Happy for those who received "decision made" but frustrated with silence.

I have ticket back to canada on tuesday and will continue waiting there. At least with my husband with me there

That would be even tougher. It's hard to not hear anything, but at least we have the assurance of knowing that's normal, and that no one else is hearing either. I hope you hear from them soon!

I just received my AOR. It says my File number is FXXXXXXXXX. So how do I check my status in eCas. Should I use the Identification type as Immigration file number? When I use Immigration file number, I get a messaeg telling Immigration File numbers start with "B".

Mine starts with an "F" too. Give it a few days though. I got my AOR on a Thursday, and couldn't log into e-cas till the following Monday.

11 days, though 2 of those days will be traveling. I'm so excited. I can't wait to see my mom's face when we walk through the door...she has no idea we are coming! Only my brother and a family friend know.

I love the Yukon in the spring/ summer, may is always one of those in-between months, can either be a late spring or an early summer. Mind you, I like the Yukon anytime of the year

Hey guys,

SO my husband finally received his visa and COPR in the mail this morning. In fact he was so excited he called me at 2am. He already booked his ticket for Wednesday, April 13th, 2011 (so arriving in 4 days). Now into mad dash to get the house cleaned up more and make room for him . I am so excited. Thanks for the support in the beginning stages and best of luck to everyone still waiting. Your time is coming soon to be re-united with your loved one.

Good news. I received my initial assessment, and it says expect to finalize application without personal interview. No additional documents required at this time, received results of medical exam. We previously paid right of permanent residence fee beforehand. I am in process of moving but have informed them, let's hope that nothing gets lost in the move. Also thank god govt. didn't shut down so we can continue getting mail. Letter was dated April 6th, and I am in California. Wishing everyone speediness.

I was worried about the potential shutdown too, but my dad (USPS employee) told me if it HAD happened, mail would still be delivered, but some services would have been reduced. My other concern was what would happen to people waiting for FBI clearances... Thank goodness gov't didn't shut down!
