I was wondering the same about Kelyaeq, why the switch? My husband is Indian but living in Greece and we requested the application go to Delhi (6 months processing), instead of the Rome office (13 months processing) and they sent it to Delhi as requested.

@ Nylalisa, No need to say apologize. You said what you think and I appreciate your point of view as in Canada everyone has the freedom of speech. No offense taken and hope I did not offend anyone either.

@ Chrimano, I started to try and help post a different time table for this thread as I myself look at this thread everyday and keep thinking when will it be my turn as I am all the way near the end of the table. And I thought that I would help quakingaspen lighten the load by making a different table. If I wanted to steal his job I would've made the same one. If quakingaspen and others in this thread don't mind, then I don't mind continuing my table according to recieved dates.

@ missinghim, Yea fixed, I didn't see when your sent date was on quakingaspen's table so I looked on one of your posts and found out your original date and put it in, but now that you gave me the date that is more accurate, I am glad to fix it.

@ quakingaspen/others in this thread, If you don't mind me continuing my table according to recieved dates I will continue. Not stealing quakingaspen job because I totally have respect for quakingaspen starting this thread for others like myself.

Personally i dont care who does the updates as long as its accurate, Both updates were fine..no one hates u Vietnamecutieboy, that would be childish of us lol. Anyways This is how my timeline has been recorded on the updates by Quakingaspen:

I like it like this - SIMPLE. Pls follow it. As it has always been done like this if u r going to start doing the updates too.

...if u tell what happened- the behind the scenes it gets too much n if u say it was sent on 12/10/10 n rec'd on 14/12/10,,,this is inaccurate!!! It's simple to write rec'd on14.12.10. And leave sent date blank. Since i have 2 sent dates. And the only reason i have one being in oct n the other in Dec was because of Canada Post. Like i said the behind the scenes is too much - keep mine simple, thanks! Ppl can also ask me if they have a Q about my timeline n besides i have the explanation under my avatar.

I also dont care how many ppl do the updates.. as long as they r not posted every day lol..that would be annoying. So far thts not the case=) thankgod!

I like to read ppl's questions n comments n see those in the thread because you never know one day it may apply to me, Dont want to see updates daily or too much ppl's questions will get lost.
Enough said.

Hoping to hear good news from Jeff, abisehiyo, karla718 you guys should be getting news soon . We are moving along now. Im so anxious because once I get a DM Im going to Vietnam and see my newborn son for the first time and my wife who I have not seen since May 2010.

I also have kids n can understand ur pain..kids r with me - my hubby is abroad. He is missing out n my kids r mising out on daddy like ur son. So am i - missing the extra help i got frm him before this sponsorship began. We were all living with eachother too. Not now tho.

I am going back to india for 5 mths like u plan to go to see ur wife n child. Im leaving mid-feb,

My hubby n i dont use youtube..thats a nice idea. We do talk daily, show pics n videos on facebk n email..my oldest is 2 n "Talks" to daddy on the phone. My son is 1 n answers the phone rings when he calls says hello n "talks" too. ITs hard being away for all of us,,,i hope we all have speedy processing times!!

oh yes kids n i go everywhere together..used to be like that when we lived w/ hubby..it was the 4 of us. I cant wait for kids to see him again like when u go see ur son..it'll be wonderful to be reunited..im so happy u will b making ur trip soon =)

Maja22 asked how many of you guys are already staying in Canada with her/his spouse.
I do - just moved from the US to ONT and will most likely extend my visa in a few months. My wife is working and I am now a stay at home Dad - I really enjoy it (for now at least LOL).

How many of you guys do have Canadian driving licences already?
Just wonder since I read that you are only allowed to drive with your foreign one for I think it was 60 days.

I don't have Canadian driver's license and was actually thinking about getting temporary canadian driver's license, but didn'tresearch it fully. I believe it's possible to take test or smth and get it.
I am also staying at home, not working and it drives me crazy sometimes. Want to be occupied, so volunteering might be a good idea too but just I dont' even where to start.

Since in China has 2 VO, they said that the VO responsible for the region where my husband lives is HK.

@missinghim, now I am just hoping that I get an approval decision or else I will have to immigrate to Vietnam and live with my wife and son, which I don't mind doing even though I have no relatives there. Just as long as Im together with my wife and son it doesn't matter which country.

Ok, my ecas finally opened and said they sent their letter Jan 13th regarding their decision. I actually called them yesterday since I was worrying so much and they told me it was approved and being sent to the VO. So add Jan. 13 to my timeline. I notice I am missing date sent as well, it was December 5th.

Hi Everyone!

Can anyone tell me if we are able to enter into Canada on a tourist Visa while we are waiting on Perm Resident Card? My husband in in Ottawa and I wanted to drive our animals( 2 cats 1 dog) up to our new home, but I know I can not move for good until Perm resident card arrives. I am scared to drive up with the animals if there is a chance I could get refused entry. It seems like if I have an application in the system and I am with my husband it would be OK. I just do not want to take any risks>

Any suggestions!

Hi Vietcutieboy, I don't think I will be getting any good news soon. It takes 8-9months for first stage approval or AIP (approx Aug-Sept) which is a very very very long wait. That's the way it goes for inland apps. We are just patiently waiting...

Congrats to everyone who got approved, and for those still waiting, keep a positive outlook,everything will go well.
