I think you will be hearing about your sponsorship application very soon. We have members whose applications were received 5 days after yours who have heard. So your letter is probably in the mail as we type. Congrats again, and let us know when you get your letter!

My husband & I also have 2 children & my kids are Canadian too-holding CDN passports & CDN citizenship cards. Makes it easier as i dont have to sponsor them.

We are living in Canada now. Came back to re-establish ourselves in Canada so we could start sponsoring daddy! =)

Chrimano: Ecas is slow to update or should i say they r slow to update it. I called on Jan4 to the call centre, found out the same day sponsorship was approved but i didnt see it on ecas then. My letter came that week. U can always call the call centre to find out the status like i did. If its been approved already, they will tell you even before u can see it on ecas n before u get approval letter in mail.

Wierd how Nylalisa got the decision after missinghim, when Nylalisa's application was recieved 12 days earlier. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy for the both, but now I am confused of how they go through the applications, if it is in order or not, because they are both from the same VO.

Missinghim had submitted their app in November, it was partially procesed but there was a signature or something missing. So they submitted docs to a specific IO for approval. They didn't start app approval for complete apps received in December until Jan.

So if you actually remove Missinghim from the equation who is actually a November submitter, everything is being processed in order of submission by members.

Good news! ;D I need to update my information. My app was rec'd on Dec 1 (not Dec 12) like I had typed in previous. I logged into ecas and it says a decision was made and a letter mailed on Jan. 6! I dont expect it in the mail till weeks end as mail is slow to get to me from Canada.
I dont know what made me think it was rec'd dec 12 when it should have been dec 1!!

Oh by the way I submitted my app. on oct (12) actually (the first time)- not in November!!

They dont process app. unless they r complete n mine wasnt complete. There was a delay for me because of this. Esp since they sent it all bk 1 mth n a few days after i submitted it. I thought i was getting approval but instead it was my whole app n a letter saying it is notcomplete! The horror lol

And i got my whole app, back in the mail not just the 1 form that wasnt signed ...i was asked to reapply. I was asked to send it to a specific immigrant office in mississauga only cuz he did start on it but i wasnt approved til Jan like some of u guys. Hope this clears things up KazinAz. I put this is my own time line to the left of my msgs to clear up any confusion that may arise.

Well because of our lack of signature- im in this group n will have similar time lines as all of u moving forward.

Ya I seen the exact month after I posted, my whole point was that it was looked at and assigned to a specific IO, which means it was processed a bit faster than mine was. Has it been submitted in general to the CPC-M, the time line would be you would be waiting 2 more weeks approx after me for approval. I knew I didn't know the exact story but had a rough idea of what you had said before. The member just wanted to make sure, they are pretty much with slight exceptions processed in order of arrival, at least when Stage 1 is concerned. Who the heck knows when it comes to VO how the heck that whole process works....lol!!! It appears to be random for most part.

Okay guys. So far I have Rathika, Nylalisa, missinghim, and maja22 that have received word on their sponsorship decision. Am I missing anyone?

By the way Quakingaspen, you filed Dec 1st? Have you received an approval yet?

Ok. Well, my point was that such a delay was created for me... i couldnt belive they sent the whole damn thing back( pics n everything...all proof ALL). Well old news... Ive been approved n its now gone to New delhi YAH!!!

i keep having to repeat my story, its getting old lol. So u sort of helped me out Nylalisa by answering. I know ppl must wonder why i was first if they dont kno the backgr.

Lets just hope now that both our apps have gone to ND they dont hold onto our pp for 3 mths w/o news n hope they will communicate better, I guess its random only because cases are different. I follow the ND VO thread 2010 a lot. Hoping the ppl there will get visa stamp before 6 mths. Then theres hope for us. =)

I am extremly happy to see all the good NEWS. I am living in CA to sponsor my youngest kid who is without PR and with rest of the family back home. Tough times for Kids, missing thier dady
I hope and wish successful sponsorship cases for all the applicants!

@ Nylalisa - We mailed in our application on December 1st, but it wasn't received until December 6th. However, maja22 also had their application received on the 6th and they have received their approval. So I'm hoping that ours has been processed too. No update for me on eCAS yet, and no letter in the mail. But I'm very hopeful!

@KazInAz - Congrats on getting your approval! I've updated your information - both the application received date, and the Sponsorship approval date.

hehe I'm really excited for everyone. It's so good to see the approvals coming in. I guess we'll have another wait after this, but for now it's quite fun!

It'll b nice when all December thread members get their sponsorship approval stage 1. Then it will get more exciting n sweeter!!!!!=) We'll b all closer to the end of this painful wait!
