So doesn't sound like the documents we need to submit will be TOO hard to get. Hubby has to drive to another town this morning to go to the courthouse to get the dispostion/file. The clerk was able to pull the info up right away (for a 12 year old record) and said she can just print it out there. The letter from Buffalo didn't specify any conditions on the court documents, but the clerk at the courthouse said it could be notarized for $25. I'm thinking that might be a good thing to do as long as it doesn't take too long.

As for the California Police cert, we're hoping this wont take too long to get back. The website says it takes about 72 hours to process and uses Livescan. Too bad the FBI isn't on that technology yet

So now my big worry is have we been put aside to the side and won't be looked at again for the 90 days even if we get the documents in right away?

I dont know if i should be happy? :S
it's weird
my hubby received his passport request in the mail with a file number on Oct 06 (was dated oct 01.2010)
they are asking for PR Fee and they asked for a police clearance if not already submitted
BUT both have been submitted by us earlier. is it ok to write a letter or note stating that police clearance has been sent and the fee has been paid as well?
or should we attach photocopies?
police clearance was done on 01 or 02 or 06 july, i am not sure of the exact date.
and the letter my hubby received was dated oct 01.2010

should we just send the passport in by itself or redo the police clearance?

When Buffalo sends AOR &/or document requests, can these be returned to the Buffalo office via Federal Express?

sourblush - are they asking for the RPRF? Was that paid? And if they said "if not already submitted"... that must not apply. Of course I'm not 100%, but that's what I'm getting from it. Congrats on PPR!!!

yup all hhas been paid for
they said if not already submitted
so im sure we dont need to send in the fees but what about the police clearance certificate
do we need a new one? or is the old one ok?

also.. the letter mentioned that this ppr is not a confirmation of visa
they will process it.. usually in New delhi, i've heard the process is about a month or month and 15 days!
so i dont know whats gonna happen
they might request somethn else too! who knows!

i just received the letter from CIC today about the RPRF dated oct 1 but we didnt submit all the documents that they were asking us yet because we are still waiting for my husband's brunei police clearance..*sigh But again, we are looking forward to send it in on the 17th

I would've been right behind you if it wasn't for the extra docs we have to submit. I'm petrified we're going to get thrown into a dark corner and ignored for the next three months even though we'll hopefully have everything sent off they requested next week.

Hi Kess... I have the same fear about getting chucked aside and ignored for 90 days pending the additional documents. I can't say it won't happen but I've been keeping my eyes open to other people's profiles who've had to submit additional documents and it there generally was not a 3 month delay after those requests. So, yeah, I'm sure it depends on the visa office etc etc but I'm really hoping it won't be the case and it doesn't generally seem to be...

I'm already frustrated by the delay - took a month to get our AOR and then will be another two weeks by the time the extra docs get submitted because of disorganization... and they didn't even ask for additional documents in the AOR so worried they'll send another letter now requesting it and THEN wait 90 days. Sigh... nothing we can do but hope that's not the case...
