So strange. Seems as every single VO has only handed out only a few DM's and those from July onwards are still waiting. Either IRCC are up to something or each and every VO is flat out!

your app was JULY!?!?! your anniversary is fast approaching!

What's up with the guys in Sydney?!

anniversary haha if you can call it that. I have to complete a separate rehabilitation application for a driving charge in 2011 which has arrived last month at the Sydney VO I gave up on waiting for them to ask or not. My GCMS note that they know about my charge but have yet to review it and a review date of August has been set.

Other VOs seem to be under pressure or slow which indicates it maybe a CIC internal issue and not related to just one VO

Hey guys,

Just wondering, does anyone know how long the typical wait time is to receive COPR? It's almost been a week so far.

Thanks

Hey guys - CoPR gets sent in the post right? not via email from Sydney? Hence the reason they need a returned envelope? Also wondering turn around on this

Hey guys,
We applied from Australia in February but our file was kept at Mississauga for processing. We just got PPR this morning and our instructions are to use VFS Global to send it to a VAC here in Australia.
“STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS
All required documents must be submitted in one single package.
A) To submit your package outside of Canada:
Applicants who reside outside Canada will submit their documents to a Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Australia, New Zealand or Fiji.
This service includes two-way secure shipping and tracking. A passport transmission Service Charge must be paid for each applicant to cover handling and courier costs. Once processing has been completed, visa documents will be returned to the VAC for collection by applicants.
For address, service hours, and instructions for how to submit passports through the VAC, visit their website at: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/

Has anyone else here from Australia done this? What fees do we pay? There’s a $57 application handling fee, as well as a $46 passport handling fee? Plus $19 to have it sent back to us? When we’re only submitting a photocopy of a passport and two photos and the VAC is literally 800m from the Sydney VO, this seems like a lot to charge. Also the only way to pay by mail is money order or cheque? I’m going to call them on Monday to confirm but was just wondering if anyone else had gone through this.

That was exactly my thoughts. A little ridiculous but thats the only way apparently.
It is the $46 passport handling fee. Also they do still require a self addressed return envelope even though you probably dont want your photo copy back, i think it is so they can send you CoPR but not 100% sure as i havent received mine back as of yet.

Okay, so you didn’t pay the $57 application handling fee? I guess that’s just if you’re sending your full application in for the first time?
On the mail in checklist, it said you can send either a self addressed return envelope or you can pay the $19 return courier fee. Did you do both? Or just the return envelope? That’s probably the cheaper option but might be good to have it tracked?

I just sent a self addressed express envelope and took a photo of the tracking numbers on that one and they are fine with it. I actually did send the 57 because i was confused and then we had a few emails back and forth and i said they could just keep the 11 dollars difference ha. They also said they could send it back and i could do it again but i didnt want to waste time

When did you send yours off?

I'm still waiting 14 July Applicant BGC started about mid December

Took about 10 months from application receipt to COPR form me. August applicant. Seems to be the average now for australia applicants if their processing office is the Sydney VO. Definitely feel defeated after taking way longer than i hoped for but atleast it's done. Good luck to all you folks
