Hi guys

Sorry if this is slightly off topic but I was directed to this thread when i was searching for Australian (Queensland) traffic history. I lived in Queensland years ago and I apparently have to provide my Qld Traffic History along with my Australian Police Clearance. But since I'm now back home in Zimbabwe it is a tall order to obtain my license history from here. Besides the fact that I never actually held an australian driver's license, any correspondence with the Queensland Traffic department has to be via phone or snail mail which will probably not make it in time for my deadline to submit my application. I have read in other posts that I can write up a declaration to state that i have never held an australian drivers license and I have no current standing traffic violations in my name. I did manage to talk to someone from Queensland Transport and they did a search of my name and confirmed that my name does not appear in any of their records so I really am not worried if immigration does decide to confirm this information. But will such a declaration be enough given my circumstance because this is literally the only thing holding back my application. Any help on this issue would really be appreciated.

Thanks so much, I thought we should have done that but my Aussie partner convinced me it was not necessary. Darn! I will get on that. Looks like our application package will be sent back for being incomplete

I don't think you'll get it sent back. They might just ask for it later on. But maybe not, I'm just guessing/hoping for you!

It's rare you get sent back your file for being incomplete, they would just ask you to send the information they need by a particular date.

I have to apply for rehabilitation due to a traffic accident a while back, my file hasn't been declined or sent back, they've just shoved it in the bottom of the filing cabinet till its ready to resume.

It would take something pretty serious for a file to be sent incomplete at the stage when it reaches the VO.

Oh cool. Fingers crossed they don’t send it back. We don’t have AOR1 yet though. Application only delivered May 11th in Mississauga.

It doesn't matter if you dont hold Australian driving licence, if you were in Australia and using international driving licence you can order your driving history report.
Whats ur timeline?

Sorry for the late response I haven't been online in a while. Well I called Queensland Transport and they did a check and said my name didn't appear in their records. But apparently as the guy said this was the one time were having a traffic history would have helped because I could have sent a friend to request a Traffic history for me. But because I am not in the system at all I'd have to send copies of my ID docs and a money order for AU$26 via SNAIL MAIL... there is no way I can do it online. Now my issue with this is
1. We do not do money orders in Zimbabwe or even bank cheques (i've enquired)
2. My PCC never even made it to me via snail mail from Australia (its been 45 days now). I've had to give the AFP an Australian address and my friend couriered my PCC. So i'm obviously worried that even if i did manage to get some sort of money order my docs wont even get there anyway as I can only send them via the post.

My deadline to apply is the 13th of June. So i was hoping a declaration that i have never held an australian license, had a traffic infringement and that I consent for the Canadian Immigration to verify this info with Qld as previously stated accompanied with an explanation of my reasons in my LOE will be good enough. I am happy to fully consent for Immigration to confirm with Qld Transport but as far as getting an actual traffic history it seems to be next to impossible in my situation.

I don't have much info about Sydney visa office, but I'm waiting from last 3 months but no update so far.
When your Bgc updated from in progress to in process? And what kind of Additional documents u asked for?

I don't have an idea when the changes were made in BGC. I just read what is written in the GCkey and ECAS.

Additional document they request was for Singapore PCC which took me almost a month to process.

So strange. Seems as every single VO has only handed out only a few DM's and those from July onwards are still waiting. Either IRCC are up to something or each and every VO is flat out!
