I have got a clear record for sure....what type of questions do they ask when landing and what's the ideal length of stay to say when they ask about stay?

Do you have a job that you will be returning to? Or anything that links you to the country your coming from such as home ownership etc. If you do bring evidence of that just in case.

But you will just be asked why you are coming to Canada, who/where you will be staying, how long etc. If you were to be taken to secondary then you will be grilled a bit harder.

I'm not sure about ideal time, just be truthful on how long you are planning to come for. Since you applied in September I take it you are quite far into the process? Have you got DM yet?

Yes, I do have a job...so get employment letter from the employer? Don't own a house here

Actually my file was sent to Delhi Visa Office initially as I am originally from India but am an Australian citizen now....so wasted some time there!!

Yep bring proof of employment and a return ticket and you should be fine.

Hi, thought I should post my timeline on here to give an idea of Sydney office. I posted my application on 4th sept 2015. It was received on the 10-th sept although Australia post and Canada post still think it's lost. I had it couriered by aus post with signature but it was never signed for when delivered, so for 2 months till we received a reply from cic we thought our application was lost or stolen.
application was actually received on the 10th sept 2015. Around about the 10 Nov it was processes and sponsor was approved.
Sydney started to process on the 24th Nov 2015. I received a passport request on Jan 7 2016. and received COPR in the mail 13th Jan 2016.
So all up from Sep 10 to Jan 13 only about 4 months. Meds and fees were done before app sent in.
Hope this helps.

Hi Ozzy - Im in a similar situation as you. Sent via Aus Post and Canada Post on November 26 2015 but we have no idea if it has arrived. Meds and fees done beforehand as well. Fingers crossed we get a good outcome like yourself. Congrats. Landy67.

Hi Landy67, I just read your first post, sounds very similar to our situation. I sent mine by courier through aus post not registered though. It was tracked all the way and never signed for like it should have been. I have heard they just dump all the mail in bulk sometimes and you don't get a signature (not sure if this is true, although it would explain a lot). It was quite stressful not knowing where your application was. I'm sure yours will be fine though. You should get an email of receipt very soon.

Wow thats fast! Sydney has had our file since Oct 6th and haven't heard back yet. Hopefully soon :)

Hubbie got his COPR email today, so less than 4 months all up.

We are freaking out because we thought we'd have a bit more time, but are obviously very happy.

Hi Ozzy - still no AOR after 60+ days. Can you let me know what steps you took to get in touch with Canada Post or CPC Mississauga?

Cheers

Landy67

After a month of anxiety over the status of my application, I finally received confirmation this morning that our package was received by Mississauga on 16 December. THATS 21 DAYS AFTER BEING SENT BY REGISTERED POST FROM MELBOURNE.

LESSON LEARNED - DO NOT USE AUSTRALIA POST'S REGISTERED POST SERVICE FOR ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!

USE COURIERS!

PHEW. RELIEF. WILL UPDATE SPREADSHEET.

Hey fuys. Whats the liklihood of my visa application being processed through Sydney?

Im British, and live in Australia as a temporary resident. Seems sydney has quicker processing times so would be better.

Thanks
