Fellow NZrs please advise that how long it will take to get PPR after medicals and Police clearance. does any one have idea how long it will take get police clearance from NZ as that is the only thing we are waiting on. our medicals have been updated on CIC website and I have send Police clearance docs in post.

Looking forward for your reply.Please

Thanks

Police certificates "Takes up to 20 working days to process" but when I had to get one in the past only took a week.

Thank you, when I said we're estimating about 12 months, I meant we are working towards moving 12 months after we file the application based on estimated processing times. If it's 12 months from the medical, that works. That gives us a benchmark to plan the move around.

We've got a Facebook group for Aussie/Canada PR...just a small discussion/support group if you're interested.

thanks for your reply. :)

Sending in our application today...ekkk. Just want to confirm with people where to send it to. Since we are applying outland, do we send it to the 'Other Family Class Applications' at:

CPC (Case Processing Centre) Mississauga
P.O. Box 6100, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 3A4

Thanks in advance.

Are you applying for spousal sponsorship? Because I haven't seen that address as the two you can send it to by either post or private courier.

Check the end of the application guide

Thank you for your reply...I'm glad I read it. We are going to send it through UPS because I just read on another thread that Canada Post has been a nightmare. So I'll just spend the money and send it through Canada Post to the courier address which is:

2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 300
Mississauga ON, L4Z 1H8

Hi all,

Just thought I would share with the rest on here in similar waiting mode...
I am a Canadian, sponsored my Kiwi husband - he is living and working in Papua New Guinea while we wait for his PR.

- We received your application for permanent residence on July 24, 2015.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 28, 2015.
- We started processing your application on September 28, 2015.
- Medical results have been received.

Spreadsheet is great! I added what I can. Silly question... what does AOR and COPR stand for? ;D

Thanks!

AOR = Acknowledgment of receipt (as in they have got your application and are going to start looking at it)
COPR = Confirmation of permanent residency

So what date did you get approved as a sponsor?

hey there guys,

i had my application returned mid-way through the year due to a form being out of date.... ARGH... anyway, I'm re-applying now and have a question.. I have 2 notarized documents from my mother-in-law and my wife's best friend from December last year.. do these notarized documents have an expiry? If i can avoid paying $40 a pop to have these letters both notarized again, I will and I will just send in the already notarized documents.

any help would be much appreciated it!!

PS. Be sure to check that all of your forms are the latest version of the document before you send it in.. I downloaded my document in July of last year and a newer version came out in August.. I submitted my document end of December 2014 and it got sent back without even being looked at due to the date stamp on the bottom left hand corner of my document being incorrect.. what sucked most is that there was only 1 small difference between the versions..

And it took them 6 months to send it back?

I got it back End of March.. so call it 4.5mths.. pretty much the time it was taking them at the time to deal with AOR1.

I am only getting around to reapplying now.. the year has been a silly one to say the least.

If you hold a New Zealand passport you should have only needed to send a copy of your it not the actual document as NZ is visa exempt. Its weird that they asked for it...

I need some help. I'm sponsoring my partner, and we're both based in New Zealand. For some reason our file was handled by the Ottawa office, but now that we're in the final stages it seems the Sydney office is now handling our file.

Over a month ago we received an email effectively confirming that we'd been approved, and we were given a date to arrive by, but they also requested new photos and some passport scans before issuing us the final paperwork. We sent these documents off to Sydney over a month ago. Shortly after, our status changed to "Decision Made"

But we've yet to receive our paperwork. There's been no communication. The date we were given to arrive by was March 1. We want to book tickets! But surely its best to wait for final confirmation.

Is this an absurdly long amount of time to wait? Or should we be expecting it in the mail soon?

Thanks for any help.

Anyone recently got their PR through the Sydney office? Interested in how long recent applications have been taking.
