Our working holiday visa for Australia is up September 20th and while we are hoping we get PPR soon then COPR, who really knows right?
So we would need to leave the county and thus change our address. So starting to think up plans now...we are thinking that we would travel through SE Asia for 3 weeks, then visit England before heading to Canada. Would it be better to use my boyfriend's parents' address in England or my parents' address in Canada?
Changing the address to one in England wouldn't mean that the Sydney office would want to send our application to the London office does it?
Or are there any rules against the applicant being in Canada and then receiving the COPR?
Thanks for any input!

just curious if your only on WH visa's in Australia why did you apply through Sydney VO?

It's finally all over! I received the PR card in the mail today, so 99 days! Crazy but it's finally done. Woohoo!

Congrats benjis_monikuss.

Mine arrived on Friday which was 98 days after my arrival. I now have my PR card, health card and drivers license. I can't believe it is all done. All I need now is a job... maybe when the World Cup is over.

Good luck to everyone else out there whatever stage of the application you are at. No matter how down you get with the process make sure you hang in there, it will all work out.

So if we needed an interview we wouldn't have to spend loads to go to London... We applied before we found the forums and realised that interviews were few and far between.

Well, it's officially "bulk stress" time.
My visa expires on July 28. That's soon.
I haven't had a PPR yet, my app was filed 12th March, AOR2 came May 11.
I'm pretty sure that even though the automated web process said I was eligible, that I am not actually eligible to renew my IEC (I'm 32, I think it's programmed to let people through up to 35 because some countries have 35 as the age limit).
I ordered GCMS notes today, but they won't come til July 18 at least - 10 days before my visa expires - so they're largely useless.
I'm the sole breadwinner in our home.
If you have good wishes, please send them out in my name. Dying of stress right now. If July 20 comes around with no PPR, I think I might have to ride my motorbike into a tree...

I can relate. I'm currently on IEC too and it's going to expire early November. I put my application through but haven't got approval or anything yet coz the first step jumped up to 56 days. I can't renew my IEC because of my age. I hope you get your visa prior to it expiring. I'm wishing you all the best.

Thanks bud. Appreciate it. Good luck with yours too! Fingers crossed for you.

So my little tanty was all for nought! I got PPR today! (Curiously, the day after I requested my GCMS notes...)

Hi all! Just joining the discussion - my partner (a kiwi) and I sent his PR application to Mississauga at the end of April, and are eagerly awaiting AOR. We are currently in NZ but are planning on moving to Vancouver as soon as he receives PR. I have been lurking around these forums for awhile, and just wanted to say thank you for all the help in putting together an application. Everyone's posts were so helpful :) Fingers crossed Sydney keeps up their speedy processing times!

Congrats!! Although am I allowed to be a bit miffed as we are still waiting and our application was in Sydney about 3 weeks before yours? Still it gives me hope that ours will come soon! Are you married? Wondering if timing is any different for married vs common law...

yay congrats MrJB our app is not far behind yours. fingers crossed we get PPR soon too!

Nope, you're not allowed to be miffed unless you've filled out your timeline on your profile and been added to the spreadsheet :P
(Actually you are, I would be too).
I'm married yes.
And thanks! :D

Received AOR today! Now to wait for SA which hopefully should be right around the corner :)

haha I am on the spreadsheet! but I can't actually figure out where/how to create the timeline for my profile? I see 'Picture/Text' where I should be able to add something, but it's not available to edit...

Make 1 more post, then you will have made 10 posts and you can add your time line.

After having lived in Australia are you happy with your decisions to live in Canada? What is better or worse in your opinion?
