Benjis and Torvic, did your PR cards show up yet? Time's flying, down to 3.5 months till we get back. Where has the year gone?!!

Nothing yet! They said 4-6 weeks (business days) so hopefully it will arrive soon.

The processing times jumped a little, their April 9 updated now says 56 days (from 51). So mathematically I should be receiving it on May the 4th (be with me) and that would be closer to 8 weeks. The lady who did my landing said expect them closer to 8-12 weeks. This is the least stressful wait throughout this whole process haha.

New to the forum - found it when searching for real processing times as we were depressed with the 11 month status! It is SO uplifting to see all these times in the 3 month range! My boyfriend is from England, me from Canada and are both living in Aus. Our working holiday is up in September so we are really hoping to have his TR before then!

Don't know the lingo/abbreviations yet lol but here we are so far:
AoR: March 6th
Sponsor approval: April 8th

Hopefully will hear it has arrived soon!

Welcome and good luck - did you get a chance to update the spreadsheet - anyone can add their info!

I'm really glad I found these forums when filling out our application! Thanks everyone for all the help.

I can tell from the tracking info that the CIC received our application on April 9th, looks like it'll be another month before the AoR. I'll try to keep the spreadsheet updated, though I found it while I was looking through these forums - if I lose the link is there an easy spot to find it again?

No kidding. As much as I'd love to see my card turn up today, we're not exactly sweating over this part of the process.

Hi Everyone,

New here but excited to finally be at this stage. We are submitting my husbands application to Mississauga next week and it will then go through to the Sydney office since we live in New Zealand. Is there a April 2014 applications thread or is the best place to be?

I saw some comments on the processing time only being about 3 months despite the 11 month timeframe in the CIC website, is this everyones current experience? So 4 months total with the Sponsorship portion?

Thanks for your help

Welcome! My wife is from nz also and we followed the same steps back in Feb. Best of luck to you ! This board is super helpful and having the support really helps.

Welcome again!

Thanks netkid.

Did any Canadians living outside Canada have trouble proving their intensions to move back without having a job offer, property etc?

We sent through a relocation plan, communications showing we had inquired into moving our stuff and rental properties, letter from my family saying we can stay with them, proof I still have my bmo bank account and a bit more. Hope that's enough... Fingers crossed.

Can't wait to get this thing mailed away :)

My application is SENT!!! So so happy!!! Thank you for this forum (and many others) helping me through.

My fiancée is canadian living in Australia with me & we got PR in Feb. Some things he sent to prove he was moving home was bank account details in Vancouver, shipping quotes, affadavits from family & friends in Vancouver saying he had advised of intention to move home.

Wasn't a whole heap of stuff but his was approved with no questions. The more evidence you show for everything the better.
Hope this helps you :)

Thank you so much SA86, that makes me feel so much better about what we are sending through. Did he send through original option c tax printouts since he has been living overseas?

Really appreciate your response :)

You're most welcome :) my fiancée sent copies of financials in Australia because he's self employed.
Just showed evidence of tax returns filed here.
Hope that helps.
This forum was so good whilst going through the process.

Hey Alliejk, all I sent in my application for intention to move home was a letter stating we intend to stay at my parent's cottage and apply for jobs once we are there. I got sponsorship approval no problem. For my option C printout, I wrote a letter stating I haven't filed tax in Canada for 3 years so have no recent option C, so I sent them first and last copies of my pay stubs for all jobs in the past couple years, just so they could see I was working.
