We have applied for spousal for my husband from Australia can anyone tell me how long you waited? We've been in Australia 8 years and its time to go home to my family!!!

We sent our package in March however that one got lost in the mail (lucky us NOT!!).. we've resent everything and it was delivered on April 17th.

So just curious how accurate the CIC website is with the time limits

thank you :)

Well, have a look at my my timeline, Torvic's timeline and Benjis's... We all got it done start to finish in a few months (mine about 11 weeks start to finish) They were definitely powering through apps in the Sydney office at the start of the year so who knows if they're keeping up that pace but good luck and I think 11 months is generally a worst case scenario!

I did have a look through the spreadsheets after I posted on here... seems quite quick at the moment.. we are actually wanting to move in January for a few reasons.. my husband would like to have one last Aussie Christmas and my daughter is in school at the moment so would make sense to let her finish her year :) Hopefully we have the same processing times as it would make everything less stressful. :)

My thoughts exactly...!!

I'm spewing, my app was forwarded to Sydney on April 15 according to Canada, but I don't have Aussie AOR yet. Now beginning to grow concerned.

Maybe because of all the public holidays we've had?

Hi...

It took us about 3 months to "land" but we were already in Canada and it took 53 days for our PR card to arrive.

G'luck... :)

Gang,
we just got an email to ask for passport confirmation - will be sorting that out tonight! just an email is sufficient in our case.

best of luck to all.

email sent. we're pretty stoked to say the least...

Congrats Netkid, it's nice to see Sydney is still pumping through these applications and Bubba, I think the nice, short wait for the PR card died with you hahaha. It's been 62 days since I landed and I don't have the card. People on the PR Card Arrival thread are saying that they landed in January/ February and are still waiting for their cards ::) It is kind of funny that it takes 2/3 of the time of your whole application's assessment, just to get the card that says so. I wonder what other verifications they do at this stage of the process. Not worried, as a visa exempt person crossing a land border into the states in a few weeks time, my COPR should be fine. Knowing my luck the card will arrive the day I leave hahah.

Hi everyone,

my partner and I have applied for the spousal visa, and I've just found this specific forum.

We're quite worried because our application was received in canada on oct. 3 2013, and send to sydney office soon after, our status is still at medical results received..

HELP?!
Looking at everyones speedy processing times on here we are wondering what is so different about ours.
We are not married, and applied for the conjugal partner visa, definitely crossed our t's and dotted our I's. Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated.

Is there any way my partner could land in canada and wait the rest of the process out in the country?

Nice work!!!! You'll have it in a few days especially if you opted for the express post option!

Cheers. We had to go for regular post as I don't have a courier account.

Thanks to everyone for their assistance. We're just planning out landing options ...the PR card dimension adds some "fun" plus married name change/passport change is coming up . We haven't left for our honeymoon yet either!

My AOR from Sydney just came through. Very pleased, I was sweating on it a little as it had dragged on.
