The sad part is if I would have taken my passport to London in person....i would have gotten it back 9 days ago...

When is everyone hoping to move by? We got my husbands passport back a couple weeks ago but we're not moving til June 18th. Flights are booked! It's all starting to feel real! What an ordeal though....
I wonder if the immigration officers have a sense of how big this whole experience is for us. It sucks having to leave your future in someone else's hands!

I'm already in Canada on a visitors visa.......i will just flagpole the border (which is in 3 minutes of walking distance from my place) as soon as i get my passport back!
I just got an e-mail from London saying that they sent my passport back on march 29.
Which means it's been 15 days in transport right now.....i sure hope it isn't lost.

Oh...my goodness! I'm very glad to hear from another Sri Lankan applicant. Well,my husband inquired about the application last month and was told that it had passed the paper screening stage and in queue for a selection decision and background review. We expect the selection stage will be attended within the course of next 2-3 months from now. We were not asked to submit any kind of communicational details though. However, husband tried to hand over some of our phone records and e-mails last week and was told he would be contacted if they need any additional docs and info. I hope they contact him soon regarding his police certificate since it expired few months ago.
Could you please tell me whether you received an AOR from the CHC Colombo?

Got passport request letter on April 2 and sent in passport to Seoul visa office April 5.
I got a text from the courier company that I will get my passport (+ VISA) back within today (April 14)
We've already booked tickets for June - I can't wait to go home and see my friends and family again!
I will keep checking the forum and hopefully will be able to help others who are in similar situations in the future.
