There was a DMP in Iceland that you could go to when i checked about 6 months ago, but now when i went to cic.gc.ca to find his info they say that there is no dmp in Iceland.... Another option would be for her to fly to the states or Canada for the checkup since the ash is blowing over europe ...

i had been here for almost 6 months on a visitors visa, then i had a temp workers visa for another 6 months and at the end of that i applied for change/restoration of status and got a year more of visitors visa (i requested a year). Your mileage may vary of course....

I just got an e-mail from London saying that they sent my passport back on march 29. Which means it's been 15 days in transport right now.....i sure hope it isn't lost.

I'm already in Canada on a visitors visa.......i will just flagpole the border (which is in 3 minutes of walking distance from my place) as soon as i get my passport back!

I think 2-3 days passed from my "decision made" status until i got the e-mail.

The sad part is if I would have taken my passport to London in person....i would have gotten it back 9 days ago...

I imagine he would be kicked out along with the application if they found out.... How long has he been illegally here ? Did he have a visitors or some other kind of visa ?

If he is simply on a visitors visa, you could also apply for an extension. I got 1 year extension on my visa and we are applying outland.

Ahh, i was able to track it via royal mail, it got delivered on march 11. so they've only had it for a week. I guess i'll "only" wait 2-3 more before i start getting stressed :)

One question here...once you guys sent your passport and photos in....did you get any kind of status change online when they received them or they finished processing them and mailed them back ? Or did they just arrive in the mail 3-4 weeks later ? I sent mine from Canada to London on march...
