Still no word or update on ecas for us. I check compulsively.

I see by your timeline (I really have to put mine up) that your paperwork has been received, but not processed.
Our timeline for Mississauga was;
27 July 2009 Paperwork received in Mississauga
24 Aug 2009 Application started processing
24 Aug 2009 Decision made
So if the timescale for you is the same as me, you should hopefully know before Christmas.

I've been checking eCas everyday. I hope our app shows up soon, to relieve some of the stress. We are coming across the border on the 30th of this month, applying for a visitor's record.

i am a Canadian PR and i am sponsoring my partner as a COmmon Law partner outland, rome office.
We sent our application on November 29th from Canada and it has been received on November 30 in Missisauga.However, on the ecas website, when we put our information (imm5401 receipt number (starting with R) my partner s name, date and place of birth we still have the message that our application cannot be displayed for several reasons....

can someone tell me how long it is going to take before an information will be displayed (accepted or not in the first process??)
Is it a bad sign if we did not receive any information until now? I mean, they told me that the misssisauga step usually takes 3 weeks...it is true we only had 2 weeks passed, but I thought that there was kind of information like: 'application received or starting processing...'

Their current processing time according to their website is 32 days, but this could vary. You can read the posts in this thread to see where the CPC is at with processing people, to get a rough idea anyway, or you can check trackitt.com but I found that it isn't updated frequently there - not as much as here anyway!

I'm wondering if I should be worried. I sent my App on Nov 23 and Canada post confirmed delivery on Nov 25. CIC now says they are processing app received through Nov 27 but when I enter my info and receipt # it still tells me that I can't be identified. Should I call tomorrow maybe?

Are you the sponsor or the one wanting to be sponsored? If you enter the receipt number you need to enter the sponsors details.

I'm the one being sponsored but I entered my sponsor's name and info. By the time I got home and checked CIC is closed already, so I guess I'll try to call in the morning. It's got me concerned...
