Hi,

I'm wondering if you guys started to log in ecas or received any letters from the mail? Based on most people from July thread, they started to see in process on ecas after 30days. CIC didn't even update their site yet for this week. And I'm really upset and starting to worry. :(

Relax!! Current processing time for CPC-Missisauga is 42 days, and they are supposedly processing applications received up to July 2nd. You are still well within normal processing times.

Only 2 or 3 people in these july forums have heard anything back yet, and they all submitted their applications very early in July. If you don't hear anything back for another 3 weeks, then you can start to wonder. Until then, relax and try and concentrate on other things. I know it's hard - I'm in the same boat. But definitely you shouldn't be worried yet - it's only been 32 days since your application was received. And e-CAS only updates once a week.

They updated last Thursday so they might do the same again tomorrow .

There was a holiday last week too, which might have slowed things a bit perhaps.
Still time - and as pp said, it updated later in the week last week.

I have been lurking and learning the ropes for awhile but was having problems with the activation email but I've finally figured it out...yay! I sent my app on July 9th, received July 12th in CPC-M and will be going through Buffalo.

I'm an American and trying to immigrate to Canada through my husband who is a Canadian citizen.

Can-Usa 97, I think we are on an almost identical track. I've even sent our son's citizenship cards out in July as well. :)

Question-
Which name do we use when trying to look up through e-cas? Sponsors or the applicants?

Crazy, have you heard from Nova Scotia yet? I got my kids 2 weeks after - but I did ask to expedite.

Which name do we use when trying to look up through e-cas? Sponsors or the applicants?

For your application, it will be the sponsors first, and then you can search by the applicants when Buffalo starts processing I think
* I think this is because the sponsor is the 'applicant' for the first portion per say -and then the applicant is at the 2nd stage> I do think they might link up to each other though? I'm not sure.

For my kids citizenship, oddly, it was their information which finally ever worked. Even weeks after I had them here - my husbands information would not bring up their case. Earlier this week I tried their names, their bdays and it worked.

Hi guys!

Positive decision! ;D Pheeew! I was really worried but everithing's fine. I received the letter on the 9th, now everything's been forwared to Paris. Let another (hopefully not too long) waiting period begin... ???

Good luck to the ones still waiting!

So it's stupid question time. I did a little searching on the forum but my search was too vague, I think. We tracked the package and it was delivered July 30th. Do they send any kind of confirmation that they have received the application? Because we haven't heard anything. Or do you only hear when they make a decision? We are applying outland. Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure they don't send any confirmation. The only way you find out is when you receive a letter from CPC that you have been approved as a sponsor and your file is being transferred to xxxxxxx visa office depending on your location.

They will send confirmation and your lawyer/consultant will get it

They do not send anything, unless you had like delivery confirmation or something. Then you could at least see that it was accepted at the building by someone.

Well the site still says processing July 2, but today I was able to finally log into ecas. It says it was received July 8 and a decision has been made. They have sent me a letter as of August 9, which I am waiting for :) Praying for some good news!!

NICE!!! Looks like they are still pretty much on the 1 month track for processing the applications.... Thats very good news! Glta

my ecas is not giving any information. but when I called cic call centre the automated message set as :

your application recieved on July 12 2010

the sponsorship application undertaken is forwarded to nearest visa office of your relative on August 12 2010
