Hi guys!

Positive decision! ;D Pheeew! I was really worried but everithing's fine. I received the letter on the 9th, now everything's been forwared to Paris. Let another (hopefully not too long) waiting period begin... ???

I didn't know there was an automated message. I too sent mine on July 12th so I hope mine has been forwarded too. Congrats to those who have made it through the first step.

my ecas is not giving any information. but when I called cic call centre the automated message set as :


your application recieved on July 12 2010

the sponsorship application undertaken is forwarded to nearest visa office of your relative on August 12 2010

I just tried but it required a Client ID # and I don't have one

How insane!

CIC just called me! I like literally just hung up from trying ot check the status.

Apparently including the kids receipt for their citizenship confused them (we sent it as proof for applying for theirs and why they weren't included in places on the documents) they thought we wanted that processed there and they owed us a refund.

So that must mean that they are working on it now


I am glad I answered too, it was private/anonymous caller which we never answer.
They wanted to speak to my husband and I said can I do anything? THey asked when they could reach him, I said Umm..he's at work so. Then she asked to speak to me.

WOW that again shows that they are processing exactly one month later seeing that your package was delivered 7/12 good luck! that also means that hopefully my chance comes next week God Willing.

I forget what buttons I pushed though - but it asked for a client ID 1st both ways I tried (as a sponsor and as PR).

Finally! I've check my ecas, DM on 08-10-2010 and letter sent on mail.


Patiently waiting... I hope turns out okay .

HELLO everyone...I have exciting news!!

My husband finally got the letter on the mail for the sponsorship approval, so we can now confirm it was approved on July 30th...
and also I just minutes ago I was checking my email inbox and to my surprise (big surprise) I had an email from VO Mexico City!! So I have my AOR aswell, it was sent on Aug. 10th, they mention that a letter its on its way too with more details and INFO. Apparently they had also include intructions to get my Mexican police certificate.

Congratulations to all who are starting to get their approvals and patience to those who are still waiting, soon you will be as happy as I am right now.

I still can't log into Ecas yet, but hoping if something was up with it they'd have said so on the phone yesterday. Lol.

Really sucks being near the bottom of the list

Will just have to be encouraged by the success of those before me and hope my app goes through smoothly as well. Gave my parents' address for mailing since mail here is slow and not so reliable.. now realize they'll be away when the letter is likely to arrive so will have to wait an extra week or so to find out. Will try to think of it as a few less days I'll have to wait for application approval part two...

Can't get impatient yet... still months of waiting ahead!
