@ gladiateur19 - My husband is in Newfoundland as well. It took about a month and a half to get our sponsorship approved and about a week and a half between the date of approval and the date we recieved the letter.
e-CAS was updated before we got the actual letter so keep trying to log in with your receipt number and wife's personal details, you should be able to get in soon :)

Hey guys! My app was received June 30th.... Sponsorship approved August 3rd :)

I haven't been on the site for a while! Been packing and getting ready to move to Lima and be with my wife for a few months. Very excited =D
 
Today we received mail from CIC Newdelhi requesting Passport and Police Clearance certificate. They started processing the file on August 4.

Less than a week. Wow, lucky you, congratulations! I guess India doesn't bother doing background checks then?

HELLO everyone...I have exciting news!! :D

My husband finally got the letter on the mail for the sponsorship approval, so we can now confirm it was approved on July 30th...
and also I just minutes ago I was checking my email inbox and to my surprise (big surprise) I had an email from VO Mexico City!! So I have my AOR aswell, it was sent on Aug. 10th, they mention that a letter its on its way too with more details and INFO. Apparently they had also include intructions to get my Mexican police certificate.

So I have a question, now that I have a Bxxxxxx number, does it means that they are already processing my file?? can I use that to check my status on E-cas?? or do I have to wait??

Britincanada can you update my info pleaaaase.... :D Thanks a lot!
 
galmxcan: Congrats thats brilliant, you are now "in process" :) Yes you can use your B-file number to sign into E-CAS :)

India Requests passports before they do background checks and asses your relationship etc..
