***I believe your situation like my one. Spouse living in USA, but has not been living in USA for 1 year.

Your spouse needs to fill "IMM 0008 GENERIC" and the Supplementary information "IMM 3912" for Africa region specific!

Application Decision made: 23/07/10 (we were subsequently approved -decision was mailed on 26th and we received it on the 29th.

I have more updates...this morning we talked to the CIC agent and a nice guy told us that our sponsorship has been approved and the application has been sent to Buffalo, NY! He also gave us the Client ID number.

Add to more good news, the sponsorship approval letter came this morning as well!

Now I have the letter with the client ID number, we can send the FBI certificate to Buffalo..I will feel 100% better once they have everything from me. I am totally grateful that things are finally moving along. :-*

Here´s my info, I sent application June 29, it was received on June 30th, my VO will be Mexico city....hopefully will get first stage done by next week, can´t wait!!

I am a PR and I recently got married in India. I was there on a 6 week vacation. In the interest of sending the application in early, I stupidly sent the application from India while on vacation. I did come into Canada before they opened the application. Now the application is under review, saying I was not in Canada when sending the application in. What do I do now? Should I wait for the review to get over, or should I withdraw my application and submit a fresh one from Canada? Or can my spouse come in visitors visa? CIC call centre has no idea how long the review would take. I am in Toronto, btw. We have no idea how to proceed further . Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That's fantastic, congrats Raucy! We're still just a few days apart - I'm hoping to hear that Sydney has received our app in the next few days - from what I can make out they do actually acknowledge receipt.

I hope so too! I'm planning to use the email thingy to send a document to Sydney tomorrow too.... figuring that as long as it has the client number / kit number on it, they should be able to pair it up OK, right?
