Just wanted to report that even after Canada Post briefly lost his passport, my husband got it yesterday and also landed yesterday. The letter that we had sent to Buffalo with the passport concerning the fact that we were about to be married (on August 21, while the passport was still in Buffalo) was returned to us with a very nice comment from the IO: "Please bring your marriage certificate when you land - congratulations on both counts". Also, the IO who did the landing at the Blaine border crossing in BC (at ~10pm) was super nice, and even handed us two little Canadian flags to congratulate us.

A note of interest: we're sure that my husband's medical had been expired (it was done before Aug.31, 2009 - sometime in August, we think around the 10th) and we were never asked to do another.

Thank you everyone for your support throughout this process and good luck to those who are still waiting for a decision!

Many congratulations! Bet you are both breathing huge sighs of relief.

I would say it was just a little less euphoric than our wedding day, but pretty close :)

Aww I'm happy for you Canuckgirl!! I can't wait for my turn!! I usually cross at Sumas, so I might just stick with them, I'm getting pretty popular there, after crossing once to twice a month! Why did you choose Blaine? Easiest transportation wise?

if CIC forgets to send all documents to visa office. what happends next? do they make ur file fast?

Moscow started processing on June 16. Haven't heard anything from them since then.
Congrats to every 'April family' who are already reunited!!!

Tickets are booked!! Hubby is landing 2 weeks from today! Can't wait!!! :D

Do you mind me asking where your husband is from?

Got POVL today, finally! Good luck to everyone!

We applied Inland in April, according to the processing time page they only processed up to Nov 2009, obviously no info in e-cas, but we did receive a letter requesting for my wife's x-ray since she was pregnant at the time so she didn't do the x-ray, does this mean they started processing early? or are they just opening the packages to make sure everything is inside ready for processing and filing them in timeline fashion?

They have been processing many applications since November 2009. There are people that have applied and already received visas in 2010.

Good luck with your application, keep checking this forum for more information, or the CIC website. The best thing you can do, is mail in all the documents that they ask for, and do it as soon as possible to keep your processing times as minimal as possible. Each applicant's processing times are dependent on their case and the immigration officer. But it should take an average of 4-10 months to receive a final decision.

I have applied outland, so the time line could possibly be a little different. Check the charts on the website how long it is taking for your CIC Centre to process applications. I hope you the best!

Thanks Kerianne, hope it's your turn soon, too :) We crossed at Blaine because we have a joint bank account at Bank of America, and wanted to go to the branch there :P No other real reason, other than us wanting to see the new buildings in Blaine (I haven't had time to cross at all in the past year since it was built).

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for an answer! Thanks for the support everyone!

I suppose I should post it here too for people who are following the Aprils' timelines - I just got my PPR this morning via e-mail :)

Looking back at my timeline now, I can't believe I've only been "in process" for two months. It has literally felt like an eternity. I ended up being done rather quickly, which is very astonishing to me.
Good luck to everyone who is left, I'm sure there is good news for you on its way :)

HI guys! its been a real long time i logged into this forum. I landed in canada on the 21st july and had been little busy with my husband. Congrats to all those who have received their visas and landed!
