hello everyone,

i had a query for which i need help. my spouse and i have not written any essay's etc with our application explaining our relationship. we have given all details as per the questions that were asked in hte forms and if space was not enough we have attached sheets to give complete and proper information about our selves and our relationship and all. also we have not attached any letters from our friends and family.
have we missed something really major? should we keep some such letters and essays ready in case they ask for more proof. also if you could give some idea as to whom is the letter from friends and family addressed to and what kinda content should be in those letters it would help.

My wife's application has been received in Beijing, and they have asked for her passport. I logged into the Beijing Internet Case Status site, and see our file is now Code 2 "In queue for interview, not yet scheduled."

hello everyone....
i had a query.... the back ground checks are done for countries where the applicant has lived for more than 6 months (for which PCC is also submitted) or is it done for any place that the applicant has gone even for a visit for a couple of days.... 10-15 days kinds.....
i am asking coz in our case the applicant has travelled to a few places - 6-7 countries (short visits - 2 to 15 days) so i was just wondering if there will be BC for all those places ... coz then it could mean a longgggggggg wait ........

Hey guys, the Cairo Embassy called me today. they said we must a few question on the Schedual 1 background check. but i quickly filled out everything i missed with her on the phone. Even tho ECas still says "Decision Made" i guess it's really "In Process" right now. thats what i asked her, and she said yeah, they sent a letter for me in the mail, i will recieve shortly with my file no. and everything.

Hi there! New member here. I have been browsing this forum to try to find examples of other people with application dates similar to mine so I can know when to expect my AOR, etc. Your timeline is nearly identical to mine! On June 21st you wrote:

Does this mean you recieved your AOR? How do you know it has begun processing in Buffalo? My husband's sponsorship approval was issued on 5/31 and we have yet to recieve our AOR from Buffalo. According to what you posted earlier, your sponsorship approval was issued on 5/25. If you have recieved your AOR that gives me hope that mine may be in the mail soon

Yes, we did receive the AOR and I got a letter from Buffalo on June 21 advising that on June 16 they started processing.

Hi All,

We applied outland on April 2 got approved in Mississauga on May 18 and received a letter of approval and transfer to Buffalo on May 26.
We had our package returned with letter on June 4 saying there was no proof of legal status in US and to resubmit with the evidence.

My partner had sent his opt card and his f1 i20 that was still valid but this time we send every thing including copies of his passport pages showing valid visa and mailed the whole package back to Buffalo on June 6.

There is no reply back from them. we had emailed Buffalo about the status and they asked us to contact them after 30 weeks. We don't know what they are doing with it or even if it has been received. We forgot to add delivery confirmation. Does anyone know how to find out if the package has been received ?

I received first approval from CPC-M on May 12, 2010. But still no AOR from VO Port of Spain........ How I hate waiting!

So another 6 months (going with the average processing times) and I'll be approved. 8)

I am curious as to what numbers everyone is using to check their eCAS status? I am not entirely sure but it seems like only the sponsorship part shows up under the receipt number or the Client ID received on the letter from Mississauga. And you don't get your file number until you receive the letter from Buffalo, right?

further updates to eCAS won't be until a little bit before your AOR letter from buffalo shows up. Basically once eCas updates saying "in process" for the sponsee's side, then you know a letter from Buffalo is in the mail.
