Gud to knw that a photocopy will suffice.. Thanks for the reply n congrats on getting the PR card.. 8 weeks is nt bad at all..

fprince said:
Yes a photocopy is ok, but make sure you have the original as you would need it in the long run in Canada for various reasons.
Ask him to scan a copy and send it to ur email and you can print it, i would just be happy to have something as sometimes you can even be asked abt this in Indian Immigration.
Carrying it just saves the trouble and all your other certificates as well.

They never asked my wife to show any documents in Toronto but have heard a few ppl say that sometimes they do so........

Just tell them that you have not been asked to send your PP yet. Also give them your PP# and tell
them that you currently hold it and ask them if you can send it to them?

The reply should probably be " You are advised to send your PP"
This is the reply i got for my 2nd CSE.

All the best.

remember - they are still the best of breed dumb fu$ks who have ever existed to make our life miserable.

Oh man they are really dumb...

I think you should reply them saying that you are currently holding the PP and haven't received any PP request. but considering how slow they are in responding to an email i would rather take out time and visit ND in person..

Correct me if i am wrong.... I think ND calculates time from the date file is received by Mississauga

The Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, issued the following statement recognizing Eid al-Fitr:

“For Muslims in Canada and around the world, Eid al-Fitr is a significant day based on the sighting of the new moon that signals the end of Ramadan – the Islamic holy month of fasting – and the start of a three-day feast.

“Known as the Festival of the Breaking of the Fast, Eid al-Fitr is a time marked by special congregational prayers, charity and gift-giving. It is also time of great joy and celebration during which Muslims visit family and friends and gather for festive meals.

“For all Canadians, this important Islamic holiday provides an excellent opportunity to reflect on the tremendous contributions that Canada’s diverse Muslim communities have made to this country’s rich heritage.

“As Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, I extend my best wishes for a happy and healthy celebration of Eid al-Fitr to all Muslims.

“Eid Mubarak.”

I would wait, avoid sending the PP without them asking for it..PP is not something you want to play with.

They will reply and will ask you to send you the PP...the email which you will get could be treated like a PPR.
Once they ask you to send the PP, print the email and send your PP along with it.

Yes, you should wait.
