Did she get update ever saying MEDICAL HAS BEEN RECEIVED???TRM2011 said:Hello everyone!
I have got an update which should be interesting to some people who are waiting:
My wife's father went to the New Delhi High Commission recently and he tried to find out the status of my wife's application. So, obviously he was not allowed to go in, but the guy outside gave him some information:
1. The medical tests are old and the rules have changed that the medical tests should be not more than 6 months old (I checked the CIC website and it still says that 12 months validity is good for medical tests. I even called CIC in Canada and they confirmed that there is no 6 months rule!)
2. There are more than 200 applications and that is why they are taking too long to send the letter to inform my wife to redo her medical tests. He said if we send them an email to canadasite @ canada.gc.ca they will speed up the process of sending the letter (www.canada.gc.ca is a general information website for Canada and has nothing to do specifically with immigration, let alone the New Delhi visa office)
3. He said that without the letter, my wife will not be able to do the medical tests as we do not know which doctor to go to (all the authorised medical practitioners' information is available online!)
So, all I can understand from this is that the guy sitting outside the new delhi office is an incompetent useless bum! All the information that he gave was false and I dont even think he himself knows Jack about the immigration process.
I know my wife's medical results may have an issue as she had not done the x-ray as she was pregnant. I will just ask her to go to an authorised doctor and do the full medical tests and have it sent to New Delhi soon. We have her client ID and file number. So, I dont think there should be any issues with that.
Any thoughts?
