hey fprince just a question
can my wife go with me in embassy on interview day?

Sure why not....if the Sponsor is in India they can accompany them.
A few ppl have done this if they can travel to India.

I believe in the letter which they will send you abt the interview they will ask the sponsor to be available on the phone if in Canada and to accompany the applicant
if the sponsor is in India.

Good luck, so is your wife travelling to India for this interview?

cheer up man dont worry, always stay positive!
after marriage my wife stayed with me for just 10 days and left to canada so not a big deal

all that matters is that the proofs u have given before and after marriage conversations.
i provided the proof since last march 2010 when we started talking till march 2011...

so dont worry, u will get visa soon!

Ok guys, finally mailed the application for my hubby's sponsorship and it was received on Monday at Mississauga. CIC website shows that the processing at Mississauga is up from 30 to 55 days! That's one huge backlog!

Let's see what transpires in a few weeks! Please pray for us!

Guys no PPR yet this is not acceptable.
pray and wish me luck.

harry can u plz share ur interview experience...........
my interview was a bit long ....it was scheduled at 9.00 am but i got interviewed at 10.45. so i would suggest go early even if the letter says dont come earlier than 45 min. cause there were people whose interview time was 9.00 but were done before 9.00. anyways about the interview plz plz make sure u r calm n confident. the lady who interviewed me made me feel comfortable and so m guessing they all are like that. As i was living in canada for last 5 years and i came in may and we got married in dec/2010. she asked me questions like why did i apply under this category , y not skilled , was i not able to get a job etc... pointing the reason that did i get married for PR. so i answered her that i had job offers and stuff with proof and the reason i did this cause its faster way to get PR thn other classes, then she aked me to show all the proofs i had for our relationship. i showed her email pics and phones bills since 2005 since we started dating. and after that she told me that she had no more questions and she will approved the file.

so cut to the chase...they want to make that u didnt get married for PR and u guys love each other for a while now.
frankly i was very nervous before the interview but as soon as i entered the building i was fine. and if u know ur wife well than u dont have to worry. she asked me no questions about my wife , she didnt even call her. so dont prepare too much.
just go with lots of confidence and only answer whats being asked. look them in the eye when to talk to them.

i hope this helped..if u have any questions do tell ... i m ready to help ...i know how u r feeling i went through the same thing.
only if my stupid lawyer or i knew there was something called interview waiver.. good luck n dont worry

Hello Everyone....

I will share my today's experience with CHC ND office....

I went to CHC ND with my wife today......I was first one to get there and fill out form at 08:30am ...Security officers at gate took my form and told me to wait. Then at about 10:00am... Security officer called my name and handed over a slip which said you will be replied via email within ten working days..... I argued back with security officer saying my file is already 6 months old...After 15 mins arguement, security officer arranged someone to meet me at the counter number 2... I asked VO at the counter that my file is 6 months old already and i havent been requested passport..He was nice guy told me to wait couple of hours and he will call my name after discussing my case with my allocated case officer...So at about 12:15 he called me again and said my case is under final review and there were about to send PPR..... He told me send the passport by mail today(as their policy don't allow them to accept passports over counter).

Overall my experience was good.... they are helpful people...I am going to submit my passport with cover letter via courier today before leaving delhi....

Good luck to all waiting... I think nowdays ND is completing processing first and then issuing PPR's.
