I am also in the same boat..

My wife has submitted her passport on June 18th..

Still I haven't received anything from them nor any status change.

I have done CSE in July, August without any success...

Now I have emailed Immigration minister and also planning to talk to my MP about the status...

I don't how these people can hold your passport for more than 2 months..
I Can understand your frustration, we can't predict CHC VOs they give us surprise at any time, only we have to be patient.

You have filed your application on 8th March and your 6 months waiting period will end on Sep 8th,I strongly advice kindly wait till Sep 9th than approach your local MP for intervention.

Even If you approach CHC Delhi before 6 months of processing time, the VOs is not obliged to answer anything before processing time & if they are answering specific enquiry then it's just a luck friend and more over there answers are very generic & never brief detailed.

There are so many people in this forum who are waiting for PPR since two months and waiting for visa more than >45days after submission of PPs. Some few lucky persons who have got their passports back within short time, so we cant compare with them every ones application is unique in its own way and they are many applicants whose passports were held by CHC for over 4-5 months!

Let us wait patiently and all one by one will be receiving visas soon !

guys

Is British airways gud for flying to toronto?? I flew air india while cmin to India n i must say this airline is a blot on our country's name :(:(

Congrats cdnrics!! That's a great news... Hopefully my wife should also be receiving her PP pretty soon..

Yeah your are right we just have to be patient and wait for the passport.. They will mail the passport shortly..

Actually my 6 months period starts from date when file was transferred to India.. So it will be Oct 29th (file reached ND April 29th,2011)..

I have already emailed to immigration minister office (Jason Kenney) let's see what he has to say about it..

British and Jet are excellent options.
Taking Air India is similar to taking a boat ::)

With BA the extra luggage fee is only $50 and is a great deal, with most other airlines
the extra luggage will cost you $150.

All the best.

I am gettin both at almost the same price..I fully agree that the 50$ extra luggage fee is quite less.. but still, which one would u recommend out of the two??

Depends on which time you would like to land in toronto.

Jet is around 12 15 pm, i guess BA lands in the evening...so if you want a extra day in T.O
i would say Jet, my wife flew Jet and had no complaints.
Also depends which city you fly out of India, if you have more than 1 connecting flight it is a pain in the a$$...................

Dont worry too much guys..they have been holding my wife's PP for
4 months now so be patient and thas all you can do. They have a processing time of 6
months from the day your file reaches India and before that they are not liable to
answer you. I haven't sent any CSE but had my wife did go to embassy to inquire and
last week I had my lawyer send them an email but i'm not expecting any response back.
They hardly ever reply to emails or CSE. Maybe i'll talk to my MP if nothing happens
in a couple of weeks.

I hope they give you guys visa soon but be patient otherwise its very difficult.

hey guys
MP stands for what and how can we contact him or her???
