I agree with you on this, and Im sorry this had to happen. :(

I tried my best under the situation and the language used...
Ya you were right on your track and shared your feelings. Here its not a question in this forum why we are relocating to Canada instead to settle in our country ! No one has rite to comment on the personnel stuff or suggest anyone where and where not to settle, just everyone in this forum & including myself have there own destinations and dreams about the future.

So hope all respected Sirs/Madams will maintain peace in this forum. Please stop politics henceforth, kind request to all

Has anyone here renewed a Indian Passport in Canada without a PR card...
They list the PR card in the checklist and i think they would want to see that document as these days they are very strict with the issue or Indian PP overseas..
Ohh well...my life and CIC always like each other so much..

I had done in the past. If you are student then need to show proof that. Similarly, show them proof if you are working etc. I had experience with Consulates in Toronto and Vancouver. Toronto seems bit faster. You need to check the region(s) a particular Indian Consulate covers.

Yes you are correct if you are PR then need to get photocopies of both the sides, they will keep that.

congrats!!

I believe the reason why there is an increase in processing time in mississauga office is due to the recent scandal about the citizenship process in Canada. Apparently they have uncovered a scam where people were getting citizenship by faking documents.. The CIC has decided to review the fraud citizenship cases and hence is diverting some resources from immigration to citizenship...

I don't think it should affect the processing time in India ...

My ecas has been in process for almost 2 months nw with no mention of the meds.. I suspect the same issue... could u pls elaborate ur timeline??? I m going to delhi in 1-2 weeks so would like to check up on this part.. have already sent an email..

Between, did they tell ur wife y they did'nt mail a letter askin for meds if they assumed they dont have them??
Manisha - here is my timeline

App Filed - Feb 28
Appl reached ND - April 11
PPR - April 21
PPR reached ND - April 27
Ecas Updated to In Process - June 3 and no communication after that.

My wife didn't ask them why they didn't try to reach out to us for Meds but they
should have really checked with the hospital but what can i say about ND, they
just suck way too much, I'd like to warn you they usually dont allow ppl inside, i
guess my wife got lucky as she created a scene cuz otherwise they just hand you
that stupid slip.

So i guess in your case it is possible that they dont have your medicals but with
ND you can never be certain about anything, maybe they just forgot to add that line so
I would suggest check with the hospital and see if they sent your Meds to Embassy
or not. Good Luck.

My wife's ecas never said "Medicals Received" until the status changed to decision made. They don't always add that line.

I know man..it is very hard to find any pattern with ND, God knows how they run things over there.
