omg i nva knew abt this.. This is freakin me out even more.. I did my BDS from India and Masters in Epidemiology from the US.. Nw eyeing DDS in the US..We applied thru a consultant as he is my father in law's friend.. I have some travel history so I assumed my case might take a lil longer..and was nt sure whrI shd apply from.. inland or outland..so thot of consulting him..

I hope everythin goes well for each one of us on this forum.. Keepin my fingers crossed..

Manisha....there is no such thing as CIC would look at your file differently if you hire a lawyer...it applies both ways..neither negative nor positive...!!! I'm not sure where people gather information on how CIC ND functions!!! It is your personal choice to hire a lawyer or not! There is nothing like...'If you are highly qualified..then you are supposed to fill out your application' !! They are only trying to establish if your marriage is genuine or not...Not how you completed your application...who filled it..if you typed it...or if it's hand written...!!! Relax!!! You do not need a lawyer= The application is pretty easy..! This does not mean anything else!

On a friendly note @coolguy...It's quite obvious to everyone that you say things at times without knowing the depth of it...Pls refrain from giving false information about how CIC ND functions!!!!

The aim of this forum is to help other members, old and new, understand easy and complex cases and to share their opinions and experiences. I am assuming we are all professionals and it makes me feel uncomfortable when people are arguing like kids. It really kills the purpose of the forum specifically started to help/share experiences.

I miss the times when seniors like DNT, Brin, Fprince, etc, were all very active and very very open to constructive criticism.

I feel like this forum, is slowly being made a playground for a bunch of professionals who act like kids.

I have been in the field of Immigration for 6 years, but I still have questions arising from complexities with Canadian immigration, I am honest enough to know that I am not an expert despite the many years in the field, hence the membership on this forum since we do tend to learn from people who have had various experiences with the system.

Let's all just do our part of helping each other and really, grow up!

Why do you want to wait until 15th of August buddy ? You should visit as early as possible instead of prolong delay. By visiting CHC can sort your passport issue i.e It has been placed in your file or misplaced !

Its positive sign that your case is in process and medicals also been received, Guess your passport should have been received and placed in your file.

Send them a fax at (91-11) 4178-2031 with the printout of their second request letter along with the proof that says passport was delivered on-----. Send them another email & attach the scanned copy of the proof & also send them CSE (case specific enquiry) & upload the proof along with it.

Why to take risk its better to clear the situation by visiting at CHC.

Its kind advice :-)
U r absolutely rite dear
Tday m gonna send dem fax n email to so dat u can cover my risk Thnkx alot bro

hi manisha
u shud not worry abt ur med bcoz if they wud need it they wud have sent u a req. for add doc or med which they normally send with in 1 month after ppr but they havent sent it so things r k n as i told sam frm last 3 week nd is slowest (i feel) we shud worry if nd is issuing visas to others but there is no update abt our file so......... wait n pray n moreover they will answer to ur representative only not to u .........good luck all :)

The reason I am really worried is coz some time back a member of this forum said that she gt her meds done in Toronto while on tourist visa but ND was nva able to locate her meds as they thot they wld come from India.. Its almost been 2 and a half months since ND has my file.. I ve nt rcvd any req for meds thou.. but I am hoping they are not repeating the same thing again.. And, ND is really slow ths days coz of student visas I guess.. I ll contact my rep tomm and hope he would be able to help..

anyways, wen did u file ur app?? and when did u receive PPR??

no manisha they dont count such thing they just look at ur relationship if thts genuine. dont worry
manisha10 said:
Does CHC point out such things also, like y the app was filed thru a lawyer?? Its just that lawyers knw more abt the process thats y they are hired.. And I dont doubt anyone sponsoring frm Canada would not be an educated person...We filed our app thru an immigration consultant in Canada who is well authorised to do so.. Were we wrong in doin so???

sam u remember we had few words exchanged abt same thing which brin is telling u few days b4 we r not saying u to not to share ur exp. but u know ur this wrong info can put sm1 in trouble u cant feel how much tension she will have now bcoz of ur wrong info......

@ brin
on a very very frank note!!

this forum is for general people like us not for professionals. we are here to share our personal experience and that is all. i dont say anyone to follow what I say. i just general and healthy discussion and not to scare anyone.
if people are not openly allowed to express their feelings and personal experience then what is the point of visiting and using this forum.

in simple terms I am sharing what my personal experience is and want to hear people their experience. I don't motivate to do what I have experienced but its just to share the info. If everyone in this forum would have been a professional then there would have been no need of any forum at all!!!

alright everyone if everyone think that i am wrong or i am misleading people then goodbye to this forum. Take care everyone and god bless everyone with speedy visa.

Thanks for ur kind advice Brin.. Makes me a lil relieved.. I ve applied for tourist visa twice on my own and gt it without any hassle.. This time, we just did nt want to take any chance, hence the consultant..

@Manisha.

still not sure what this confusion is all abt..but if it is abt how much a case weighs afters you hire a lawyer?
it is still the same weight as you posted it to cpc miss.

for a first time application = There is no difference and does not make your case any stronger or weaker, it is just a personal choice.
Doing your medicals outside of India is not a bad thing either.

;D

I must say, CIC NEW DELHI does a remarkable job in processing these applications.

They should teach the slower offices how they achieve their efficiencies.

I understand your pain!! CHC-Islamabad is taking way too long!! My heart really goes out to you people! Wish you a speedy processing nevertheless :)

Hey fprince

I am worried abt the meds ... The ecas still doesnt mention anything abt them.. Do u remember nddec's case..??? She gt her meds done in Canada and ND screwed up the case...My PPR asked for 3 things- ppt, meds if nt already done and RPR fees if nt already paid.. Thats the standard PPR req that everyone has been getting.. No additional meds request after that..then i gt another PPR in the end of June with a send in date of 8 aug.. no meds requested there either.. nw I am thinkin of sendin a CSE inquiring abt meds.. n hope to get a reply ..

as far as a rep is concerned, we hired him as my husband did nt want to take any chances and moreover, he is my father in law's very gud fren..

btwn, hws everythin goin with u??? has ur wife settled in???
